economic development partner
$1 million to the community since
2004.
Built two Habitat homes, Century
Center Clock, Inter-City Visits and the
Community Leadership Collaboration.
Created (2007) the national Institute
for Sustainable Development and the
Green Plus Program now active in 17
communities in 14 states.

We have a strong, well-educated labor
market and increasingly diverse
population.
We are growing and will grow, but much
slower than our neighbors
We have a large disparity in wealth with
rapid increases in food stamp recipients.
Our people are healthy and trending
healthier (other than breast cancer)

Growth in retail sales is one of our
greatest economic opportunities
While we have enough water for the next
