The document summarizes Brianna Smith's experience with a choice project exploring various Google tools over 4 days. Day 1 covered Google Earth and its flight simulator and satellite views. Day 2 involved using Google SketchUp to design a building. Day 3 saw Brianna create a website using Google Apps tools like spreadsheets, presentations, and documents. On Day 4, Brianna enjoyed designing a customized Google doodle logo. The conclusion reflected on enjoying the independent exploration while gaining time management skills.
2. Day 1: Google Earth
∗ There is a lot of stuff you can do on Google Earth. You
can do a flight simulator that shows you how to fly a
plane. I found that to be quite difficult to get off the
ground.
∗ You can also look around the earth from a birds eye or
satellite view. Just type in a place to visit and you get
to see an amazing picture.
3. Day 2: Google Sketch up
∗ I took a tutorial to create a building where you play
architect. You say how big you want your building to
be and then you create it by using special tools that
make your house or building look unique.
4. Day 3: Google Apps
∗ Today I played with Google tools by going into
my District 20 Google account. I created a site
that surprisingly was not that hard to make. I
made it look quite awesome at home. When
you log on I found that you can use and make
spreadsheets, PowerPoint, word documents,
charts, and many others tools to make a
presentation look professional.
5. Day 4: Google doodle
∗ This was a fun class period especially after we did
GIMP. It was fun to do a Google logo but spruce it up
a bit.
∗ My favorite professional Google doodler is Allyson
Henley. She does a cupcake doodle of Google. I liked
it because it was colorful and very creative.
6. Conclusion
∗ This was a fun project. I liked having an agenda but
knowing exactly what to do everyday, every moment.
I think choice projects are fun and teaches us to
manage our time wisely.
7. Thank You
∗ Thank you for listening to my project!
∗ This is my Google doodle!
