Three white mice discover jars of paint and use the colors to paint a piece of paper. The mice step in different colored puddles, mixing the paint on their feet and fur to create new colors. They realize that red feet in yellow make orange, yellow feet in blue make green, and blue feet in red make purple. Once their fur gets sticky, the mice wash off and properly paint the paper with sections of red, yellow, blue, orange, green, and purple, leaving some white in case the cat returns.
13. But the paint
on their fur got sticky and stiff.
So they washed themselves down to a nice soft
white and painted the paper instead. They painted one part
red and one part yellow and one part blue.
They mixed red and yellow to paint
an orange part, yellow and blue to paint
a green part, and blue and red to paint
a purple part.
14. But they left some white because of the cat.
