Jones Program HISTORY AND RESOLUTION OF JUBILEE DAY Our Jubilee Day Service Commemorates One of the Most Important Days in the History of The A.E.A.O.N.M.S., North and South America and its Jurisdictions, Inc. Prince Hall Affiliated. Our Constitution and General Laws of our Mandates the Annual Ceremony. It is to be held on the Sunday nearest the Third Day in June in a Public Ceremony. The History of Jubilee day began in August 1914, as the substance of a lawsuit against our Order, which ended in an Historic decision by The United States Supreme Court on June 3, 1929. The Lawsuit attempted to deprive A.E.A.O.N.M.S, the right to work and be recognized as Shriners. It also extended those implications to all appending Prince Hall Masonic Bodies. On that Jubilant Day of June 3, 1929, Our Order composed of Prince Hall Mason, who were of the Knight’s Templar and/or Scottish Rite Masonic Fraternities became firmly established in these United States of America. The Unanimous decision of the Nine Supreme Court Justices which upheld our rights to work and be recognized as Shriners, Legitimized Prince Hall Masonry in the Country as well as other Fraternal Orders Composed of Black Members, which are of similar Organizations, Doctrine and Purposes as those composed of White Members. The Long, fifteen year court battle was a sacrifice of devastating proportions for our economically disadvantage Brotherhood. Yet, with unwavering determination, Unified effort and a cost of Seventy seven thousand dollars, our leaders met the challenge and were successful in their cause. Therefore, Be It Resolved that We, the participating Temples of this Joint Jubilee Day Celebration, Aswan Temple No. 115, operating out of the Oasis of Frankfurt, Germany and Faisal Temple No. 192, operating out of the Oasis of Stuttgart, Germany do hereby Commemorate Jubilee Day 2008 to the Memory of that Historic Decision of the United States Supreme Court of June 3, 1929, and dedicate this service to those members of the Order who have given unselfishly of their substance, to the End that Justice Prevailed. “ Es Salaam Aleikum”
