E ao juntar as partes de um todo, descobrir e criar algo novo, próprio,
uma interpretação genuína e inovadora, uma visão diferente.

5. Observar não é enxergar, é ver. É o olhar cuidadoso, meticuloso,
que além de enxergar o objeto, vê suas partes integrantes.
É atividade nobre, passiva no olhar, mas ativa na análise, na
interpretação, no entendimento real das partes e do todo do objeto
que proporciona.
O objeto é ativo e dinâmico em si, mas passivo enquanto objeto.
Tem sua realidade decomposta e composta pelo observador,
interpretada, analisada, suas partes definidas e redefinidas. Sua imagem
não é mais sua; é dada e transformada pela observação, interpretação
e análise.

8. O PIXEL é uma unidade da comunicação digital; é a menor partícula
da imagem. Quanto maior o número de pixels, melhor sua imagem.
Mas ver e compreender as partes também é melhor entender o todo.

13. Ao darmos esta linguagem digital ao mapa dos Estados Unidos,
passamos uma imagem estilizada, uma visão particular, analítica
e sofisticada de um objeto de estudo, e ao mesmo tempo uma imagem
moderna, rápida, e de grande comunicação visual.
O OPEU é um observatório político, e a marca transmite isso em
linguagem simbólica. Ela fornece uma visão diferente do objeto,
enfatizando suas partes componentes, da mesma maneira que a análise
política delimita temas e fronteiras, estados e regiões, ou organizações
partes de um sistema maior.
Partindo deste princípio concluímos que esta forma reforça
e exemplifica a idéia de uma base de informações específica
e segmentada sobre política dos Estados Unidos, que ao mesmo
tempo promove o entendimento do país como um todo.
