About urDrive
Exclusive to Kingston’s DataTraveler® USB Flash drives*, urDrive is preloaded software that gives you
a new and exciting way to look at and manage the content of your USB Flash drive. In addition to its
stylish new interface and desktop approach to organizing your data, urDrive also introduces new ways
to help protect and improve the performance of your computer.

Getting Started

1. Launch the urDrive software by double-
clicking on the urDrive.exe file located on
your USB drive.
2. Select your preferred language from the
drop-down menu. Figure 1.1.
3. Click the Get Started button to continue to
the End-User License Agreement.
4. You may choose to: ‘accept the terms and
conditions’, ‘decline and close’ or ‘decline
and uninstall’. In order to use the software,
select Accept Terms & Conditions and
click Next to proceed.

Home Screen

Your ‘Home Screen’ provides access to every facet of urDrive. From here, you are able to create a
urDrive account, explore the ‘Featured Solutions’, add content via the ‘Navigation Bar’, and experience
everything urDrive has to offer.


Featured Solutions

The PC Checkup feature allows you to download a free software tool that
automatically scans your computer for potential security risks and/or performance
problems. It also helps improve security and keeps your computer running like new.
For support information please visit http://us.norton.com/nortonlive/free-pc-checkup.jsp.

The Browse feature allows you to ‘surf’ the Internet using Maxthon’s Dual Display
Engines™, customizing your WEB experience with lightning fast technology and the
ability to switch between Ultra Mode and Retro Mode. For support information please
visit www.maxthon.com/help-and-support

The Backup feature allows you to backup and restore data based on user
preferences specified in Vdrive, urDrive’s backup utility. You can also backup your
data using the optional online backup, providing you a safe and secure way to access
your data from any WEB browser. For support information please visit
http://skyfile.maxthon.com/help.html

For Kids is an application that provides children with a safe and secure Internet
environment, while providing parents the ability to control and monitor what their
children are accessing online. Using a customizable dashboard, you can allow or
disallow specific content based on age, gender, or interests. For support information
please visit www.urfooz.com/fooz-kids/account/support/request.

The Games link offers a list of new and exciting games to try out. You can download
additional games using the ‘Store’ link.

The Store link serves as a portal to urAppZone, where you can access hundreds of
downloadable games, applications, and utilities.

The Facebook™ link provides quick access to the Facebook login screen via the
embedded Maxthon browser.


The YouTube™ link connects you to the Youtube homepage. From here you can log
into your account or search for numerous user-generated videos.

The Twitter™ link is a shortcut to the Twitter homepage. From here you can create
an account or log into an existing account.

Navigation Bar

The Home icon provides you with a simple one-click return to the main screen from
anywhere within the urDrive application.

The My Files icon allows you to access all of the content stored on urDrive (and its
subfolders), regardless of file type or program extension. Unlike My Photos, My
Music, & My Videos, My Files does not associate itself with a specific file type and
therefore displays all urDrive content without filtering. For additional information, see
‘Exploring My Files’ on page 12 of this document.

The My Photos icon provides a quick and easy way to access all of images stored on
urDrive (in the Photos folder.) Only the file types supported by My Photos will display
in this section. [Supported file type(s): .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .cdr, .psd] For additional
information, see ‘Exploring My Photos’ on page 13 of this document.

The My Music icon provides a quick and easy way to access all of the music content
stored on urDrive (in the Music folder.) Only file types supported by My Music will
display in this section. [Supported file type(s): .mp3] For additional information, see
‘Exploring My Music’ on page 15 of this document.

The My Videos icon provides a quick and easy way to access all of the video content
stored on urDrive (in the Video folder.) Only the file types supported by My Videos will
display in this section. [Supported file type(s): .avi, .asf, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .rmvb, .rm,
.dat, .mp4, .mov] For additional information, see ‘Exploring My Videos’ on page 18 of
this document.


The News icon provides you access to all of the latest information on Kingston’s
products.

The Settings icon allows you to customize the user-experience by providing access to
some of the interface preferences available on urDrive, including language selection,
background, and profile image. For additional information, see ‘Exploring My Settings’
on page 20 of this document.

The Help icon allows you to view and / or print the User Guide for this product and also
obtain additional support information by visiting Kingston on the WEB at:
http://www.kingston.com/support/urDrive.

Navigation Bar Quick Tips

Adding Content to UrDrive

urDrive supports ‘drag-and-drop’ functionality for
simple file management.

Populate urDrive using the Windows Explorer
interface by copying specific file types to their
respective folders, i.e. .jpg files to the Photos folder,
.mp3 files to the Music folder, and so on. See
Figure 2.1.

By arranging your files in this manner, your files will
be easily accessible and will remain organized in
urDrive. Figure 2.1 – Drag and Drop

For commonly accessed files, use the Favorites
folder located on the urDrive desktop.

Click on the Favorites button and drag files from
your Windows Explorer interface into the Favorites
window. See Figure 2.2. Figure 2.2 – Favorites


You can display the content of My Files, My
Photos, My Music, and My Videos by placing your
mouse pointer over the navigation link as shown in
Figure 2.3.*

Once the pop-up is displayed, you can double-click
on the file you wish to view or double-click on the
directory (My Files, etc) to display all supported
content within those locations.

(Reminder: ‘My Files’ will display all file content,
regardless of file type, while the remaining
navigation links will display only the supported file
types associated with that category.

Your Capacity Gauge is located the lower left-hand
corner of your urDrive home desktop. Your USB
drive’s remaining (or available) capacity is displayed
both numerically and graphically. See Figure 2.4. Figure 2.4 – Capacity Gauge

As you add content to your device, this gauge will
increase until your drive reaches full capacity.

If you attempt to overfill urDrive, you may receive the
warning seen in Figure 2.5.

To resolve this issue, close urDrive, delete one
or more unused files and re-launch urDrive.

*Note: The mouse-over function displays content stored in each of the corresponding navigational links
from the home screen only. If you are currently displaying content from within a link (My Photos, My
Music, etc.) then a single mouse click will initiate the display of file types associated within that
category.


General Usage

Sign Up for a urDrive Account
(Note: If you already have an active urDrive account, you may skip this step and go to Sign In.)

Click the Sign Up link located in the upper right
corner of the home screen.
During the sign-up process, you will be asked to
provide an email address, your first name, last
name, and a desired password. Enter the
appropriate information into the fields provided, as
seen in Figure 3.1.
Accept the Terms of Service and click Sign Up to
complete the process.
You may opt to receive urDrive updates via email by
clicking the appropriate check box. (This field is

Sign In (to your urDrive Account)

Click the Sign In link located in the upper right
corner of the home screen.
Enter the email address and password you used to
sign up for urDrive as seen in Figure 3.2
Click the green Sign In button to proceed.

(Note: If you forget your password, you can reset it by clicking the Forgot your password? link in the
‘Sign In’ window. You will need access to the email account you registered when you signed up for
urDrive. For support information related to your account, please visit www.urfooz.com/help/contact-us )


Interface Exploration

Navigate backward or forward within the interface by
using the quick navigation arrows.

You can also quickly access the urDrive home
desktop by clicking the house icon next to the Figure 3.3 – Quick Navigation
navigational arrows. See Figure 3.3.

Once you’ve added content to urDrive, you can view
it within the interface as a list or as thumbnails, as
seen in Figure 3.4

List View will display various file attributes and
information.

Thumbnail View will display the default image
provided by Windows Explorer. Figure 3.4 – View Preference

Create a new item by selecting the icon seen in
Figure 3.5. This item will be different depending on
your location within the ‘Navigation Bar’ Figure 3.5 – Create Folder

In addition to adding files via the Windows Explorer
interface you can also import files from within My
Files, My Photos, My Music and My Videos.

Select the icon (as seen in Figure 3.6) and choose
Import Files to import individual files or Import Figure 3.6 – File Import
Folders to import a folder and its contents.

(Note: The File Import icon will vary in appearance
when in My Files, My Photos, My Music and My
Videos but functionality will remain the same.)

The search field allows you to search for information
on the WEB and also provides you with the ability to
search your USB drive for locally stored content.

Use the drop-down menu to explore all of your
search options. See Figure 3.7

A Yahoo! search will launch the embedded Maxthon
browser to conduct your search on the WEB.

Searching the App Zone will help you find the
application you are looking to download.


By selecting My files, My Photos, My Music or My
Videos you can narrow your search results and
locate supported file types quickly.

Searching the User Guide will allow you to quickly
locate answers to your questions relating to the
features and functionality of urDrive. See Figure 3.8. Figure 3.8 – Search Options

Access the Feedback option from any screen to
provide suggestions on ways to improve the urDrive
experience. See Figure 3.9.

To complete the feedback form, select the category
you wish to comment on. You can choose from: Anti-
Virus, Back Up, Store, Games, and Other.

After you’ve selected your category, you must enter
your email address in the ‘Your Email Address’ field
and input your comments in the ‘Your Comment’ field
see Figure 3.10.

Click Submit to proceed. You will receive
confirmation that your submission was successful.

Exploring My Files

The My Files icon allows you to access all of the content stored on urDrive (and its subfolders),
regardless of file type or program extension. urDrive utilizes your default Microsoft Windows™
applications to open files selected in your My Files window.

Create a New Folder by selecting the folder icon
seen in Figure 4.1. Figure 4.1 – Create Folder

Your new folder will appear in the left window pane
below the default urDrive folders.

To rename this folder, right-click and select Rename
to input your desired name, as seen in Figure 4.2.

Add content to your new folder by clicking the
Import Files and Folders button. From here you
can import individual files or complete folders into
My Files. See Figure 4.3. Figure 4.3 – Import Files and Folders

You can add content to your folders by selecting a
file or groups of files, then dragging them from your
main My Files window into your New Folder. See
Figure 4.4.

You can access additional menu options (as seen in
Figure 4.5) by right-clicking your files in the main
window.

(Note: The ‘Favorites’, ‘Photos’, ‘Music’, ‘Video’, and
‘Apps’ folders cannot be renamed, deleted or cut
from ‘My Files’ as they are required for urDrive
functionality.)

Sort your files by ‘Name’, ‘Size’, ‘Created Date’, ‘Modified Date’, and ‘Type’ in ‘My Files’ by clicking on
the corresponding column header.

Example: To sort by name click on the ‘Name’ header and your files will be displayed alphabetically
from A-Z. Click ‘Name’ again and they will display from Z-A.

Exploring My Photos

The My Photos icon provides quick access to all of the picture content stored on urDrive (in the Photos
folder.) Only the file types supported by My Photos will display in this section. [Supported file type(s):
.jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .cdr, .psd]

Photo Slideshow


Activate Slideshow mode by selecting All My
Photos or a photo album and click the play icon in
the upper-right corner of the main All My Photos Figure 5.1 – Play Slideshow
window. See Figure 5.1.

While playing a slideshow you can skip forward or
backward, pause, maximize the window, adjust
viewing settings*, rotate and/or delete the image by

using the control panel as seen in Figure 5.2.

*Slideshow settings can be adjusted so that you can increase or decrease the time delay between each
image and/or toggle the Repeat Slideshow feature. Remember to save your settings once you’ve
made your selection.

Photo Library

The All My Photos category displays all photos
within your ‘Photos’ folder.

The All My Albums category displays all albums
created within urDrive in addition to any albums
copied onto the My Photos icon in the Navigation Figure 5.3 – Photo Library
Bar.

Add image content by clicking the Import Photos
and Albums button. From here you can import
individual files or complete albums into My Photos.

Create a new Untitled Album by selecting the folder
icon seen in Figure 5.5

Your Untitled Album will appear in the left window
pane below the Photo Albums category.

To rename this folder, right-click and select Rename
then input your desired name. See Figure 5.6.

You can add content to your albums by selecting an
image or group of images, then dragging them from
your main All My Photos window into your new
Untitled Album. See Figure 5.7.

You can access additional menu options by right-
clicking your files in the main window. Please refer
back to Figure 4.5.

Sort your files by ‘Name’, ‘Album’, ‘Modified Date’, ‘Size’, and ‘Type’ in ‘My Photos’ by clicking on the
corresponding column header.

Exploring My Music

The My Music icon provides a quick and easy way to access all of the music content stored on urDrive
(in the Music folder.) Only file types supported by My Music will display in this section. [Supported file
type(s): .mp3]

Music Player

Use the built-in music player to play your audio
content by double-clicking on the file you want to
listen to.

While playing music you can skip forward or Figure 6.1 – Music Player
backward, pause, adjust volume, repeat all, repeat


once, and shuffle. See Figure 6.1 for reference.

Music Library

The Music category displays all music within your
Music folder.

This category is located on the left-hand side of the
My Music interface as seen in Figure 6.2.

Add audio content by clicking the Import Tracks
and Albums button. From here you can import

You can create a music playlist by selecting the New
Playlist button seen in Figure 6.4. Figure 6.4 – Create Music Playlist

Your New Playlist will appear in the left window
pane below the Recently Played category.

To rename this playlist, right-click and select
Rename then input your desired name. See Figure

You can add content to your playlist by selecting a
song, group of songs and/or albums, then dragging
them from your main Music window into your new
playlist. See Figure 6.6.

(Note: It is also possible to add songs to your playlist
by right-clicking your selection and adding it to the Figure 6.6 – Adding Content to Playlists
corresponding playlist.)

In List View, sort your files by ‘Name’, ‘Artist’, ‘Album’, ‘Time’, and ‘Genre’ in ‘My Music’ by clicking on
the corresponding column header.

In Thumbnail View, sort your files by ‘Albums’, ‘Artists’, and ‘Genres’ by selecting the corresponding
button.


urAppZone

urAppZone is a portal that provides access to hundreds of downloadable games, applications, and
utilities. You can sort by: What’s New, Top Rated, App Essentials, Top Categories and Top Apps
(paid or free). For support information related to an application, please contact the application
developer.

While in My Music, you can navigate to urAppZone
by selecting it from the left window pane. See Figure
7.1.

(Note - You can also access urAppZone from the

To download an application, you must be signed
into your urDrive account. For sign in
information, please refer back to Figure 3.1.

Once signed in, click on the app and select Free or
Buy and complete the download process. See
Figure 7.2.

While in urAppZone, you can return to the home
page by right-clicking urAppZone and selecting
Home Page as seen in Figure 7.3.

(Note: urAppZone and Downloads cannot be
renamed or deleted as they are required for urDrive
Figure 7.3 – urAppZone Home
functionality.)

The Apps download directory, as seen in Figure
7.4, displays all applications downloaded from
urAppZone.

(Note – By double-clicking the app, you will be
redirected to the app developer’s web page or
launch an installation utility. Most applications are

intended for PC installation.)

Exploring My Videos

The My Videos icon provides access to all of the video content stored on urDrive (in the Video folder).
Only the file types supported by My Videos will display in this section. [Supported file type(s): .avi, .asf,
.mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .rmvb, .rm, .dat, .mp4, .mov]

Video Playback

To view a video, double-click on the file. UrDrive uses your PC’s default video playback software to
open your video files.


Video Library

The video library displays all individual videos and
video collections within your Videos folder.

This category is located on the left side of the My
Music interface as seen in Figure 8.1. Figure 8.1 – Video Library

Add video content by clicking the Import Videos
and Collections button. From here you can import
individual videos or complete collections into My Figure 8.2 – Import Videos and Collections
Videos. See Figure 8.2.

Create a Video Collection by selecting the folder
icon seen in Figure 8.3.

Your new Untitled Video Collection will appear in
the left window pane below the Video Collections
category.

To rename this collection, right-click and select
Rename then input your desired name. See Figure

You can add content to your collection by selecting a
video or group of videos, then dragging them from
your main All My Videos window into your new
collection. See Figure 8.5

Sort your files by ‘Name’, ‘Size’, ‘Time’, ‘Modified Date’, and ‘Type’ in ‘My Videos’ by clicking on the
corresponding column header.

Exploring My Settings


Exploring My Settings

The Settings icon allows you to customize the user-experience by providing access to interface
preferences available on urDrive.

General
Choose your language preference, check for software updates, or uninstall urDrive by selecting the
corresponding option.

(Note: For a streamlined home page interface, you can also disable the ‘Rollover Banners’ by
deselecting them from within the settings screen.)

Background
Personalize your UrDrive home desktop with a
custom background by uploading your own image or
by selecting one of the default images provided.
Please refer to Figure 9.1.

To upload your own image: select Upload and
browse to the location of the image you want to use,
open it and select Apply to proceed.

You can also choose to Center, Tile, or Stretch the
image for different appearances. Figure 9.1 – Custom Background


Profile Picture
Personalize your urDrive profile by adding a custom
profile picture. Choose from the provided pictures or
upload your own image. See Figure 9.2.

To upload your own image: select Upload and
browse to the location of the image you want to use,
open it and select Apply to proceed.

(Note: Your profile picture will not appear while you
are signed into your urDrive account.)

Root Directory
Your new USB drive will contain certain files and folders necessary for urDrive operation. Access the
root directory of your drive the same way you would with any USB drive by selecting Start>Computer
(or ‘My Computer’) and navigate to Kingston urDrive.

By default, your drive will have the following files
located in the root directory:

• autorun.inf
• unInstaller.exe
• urDrive.exe

See Figure 10.1.

As you click through the Navigation Bar, certain
folders will be created so that any content you
transfer into these sections will appear in the
appropriate folder.

Accessing My Photos will create the Photos folder,
My Music will create the Music folder and My
Videos will create the Video folder in the root
directory. See Figure 10.2.

(Note: Adding an item to your Favorites location on Figure 10.2 – Root Directory with Folders

Acerca de urDrive
urDrive es un software exclusivo de las unidades flash USB DataTraveler® de Kingston*, que se
distribuye precargado en ellas y que permite a los usuarios visualizar y gestionar el contenido de sus
unidades flash USB de una forma novedosa y fascinante. urDrive cuenta con una nueva y elegante

Primeros pasos

1. Inicie el software urDrive haciendo doble clic en
el archivo urDrive.exe que se encuentra en su
unidad USB.
2. Selecciona el idioma que prefiera en el menú
desplegable. Figura 1.1.
3. Haga clic en el botón Primeros pasos para
continuar con el Contrato de Licencia de
Usuario Final.

cuenta urDrive, explorar las “Soluciones destacadas”, añadir contenido mediante la “Barra de
navegación” y experimentar todo lo que urDrive le ofrece.


Soluciones destacadas

Mediante la función PC Checkup podrá descargar una herramienta de software
gratuita que examinará automáticamente su ordenador en busca de posibles riesgos y
problemas en el rendimiento. Esta función también ayuda a mejorar la seguridad y a
que su ordenador siga funcionando igual que cuando era nuevo. Para más

La función NAVEGAR le permite “navegar” por Internet con las dos pantallas de
Maxthon al tiempo que le permite personalizar su experiencia web con tecnología a la
velocidad del rayo y la capacidad de alternar el modo ultra con el modo retro. Para

La función COPIA DE SEGURIDAD le permite crear copias de seguridad y restaurar
datos en función de las preferencias de usuario especificadas en la utilidad especial
de copias de seguridad de urDrive, vdrive. También puede efectuar una segunda
copia de sus datos mediante la copia de seguridad en línea opcional, con lo que
podrá acceder a sus datos con cualquier navegador de forma totalmente segura. Para

Fooz Kids es una aplicación que brinda a los niños un entorno cibernético totalmente
seguro, al tiempo que otorga a los padres las herramientas y la capacidad de

panel personalizable de esta aplicación podrá permitir o prohibir determinados
contenidos en función de la edad, el sexo o los intereses. Para más información visite

El enlace JUEGOS le ofrece una lista de juegos nuevos y emocionantes. Podrá
descargar más juegos pulsando el enlace “Tienda”.

El enlace TIENDA es un portal hacia la urAppZone, donde puede acceder a cientos
de juegos, aplicaciones y actividades para descargar.


El enlace FacebookTM proporciona un acceso rápido a la página de inicio de sesión
de Facebook por medio del navegador integrado Maxthon.

El enlace YouTubeTM le conecta a la página de inicio de Youtube, desde la cual
puede iniciar una sesión con su cuenta o buscar entre una amplia gama de vídeos
generados por los usuarios.

El enlace TwitterTM le ofrece un acceso directo a la página de inicio de Twitter, dese
la cual podrá crear una cuenta o iniciar una sesión con una cuenta existente.

Barra de navegación

El icono Página principal (casa) permite a los usuarios volver a la pantalla principal
desde cualquier punto de la aplicación urDrive con tan solo pulsar un botón.

El icono Mis Archivos permite a los usuarios acceder a todo el contenido guardado en
urDrive (y sus subcarpetas), independientemente del tipo de archivo o la extensión del
programa. Al contrario de lo que ocurre con Mis fotos, Mi música, & Mis vídeos, Mis
Archivos no se asocia a un tipo de archivo específico, y por tanto muestra todo el
contenido de urDrive sin filtrar archivos determinados. Para más información diríjase a
“Explorar mis archivos” en la página 12 de este documento.
El icono Mis fotos permite acceder rápida y fácilmente a todos los archivos de
imágenes guardados en urDrive (en la carpeta Photos). En esta sección solamente se
mostrarán los tipos compatibles con Mis fotos. [Tipos compatibles: .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .gif,

El icono Mi música permite acceder rápida y fácilmente a todos los archivos de

El icono Mis vídeos permite acceder rápida y fácilmente a todos los archivos de vídeo

El icono Noticias (periódico) permite a los usuarios acceder a la información más
reciente sobre productos de Kingston.

El icono Configuración permite personalizar la experiencia del usuario, ya que otorga
a este acceso a algunas de las preferencias de interfaz disponibles en urDrive,
incluidas selección de idioma, fondo e imagen de perfil. Para más información diríjase
a “Explorar mi configuración” en la página 20 de este documento.
El icono Ayuda permite al usuario ver e imprimir la Guía de usuario de este producto,
así como también acceder a información de asistencia adicional, pues este icono lleva
a la web de Kingston: http://www.kingston.com/support/urDrive.

Consejos rápidos de la barra de navegación

Añadir contenido a UrDrive

urDrive permite “arrastrar y soltar” archivos para
gestionarlos fácilmente.

También puede incorporar archivos a urDrive
mediante la interfaz del Explorador de Windows,
copiando tipos de archivo específicos en sus
carpetas respectivas, es decir, archivos .jpg en la
carpeta Photos, archivos .mp3 en la carpeta Music
etc. Vea la figura 2.1.

Si organiza sus archivos de esta forma, podrá
acceder a ellos fácilmente y estarán ordenados en el Figura 2.1 – Arrastrar y soltar
urDrive.
Para los archivos más usados diríjase a la carpeta
Favoritos que se encuentra en el escritorio del
urDrive.

Haga clic en el botón Favoritos y arrastre los archivos
desde la interfaz del Explorador de Windows hasta la
ventana Favoritos. Vea la figura 2.2. Figura 2.2 - Favoritos


Puede ver el contenido de Mis Archivos, Mis fotos,
Mi música, y Mis vídeos con solo pasar el puntero
del ratón por el vínculo de navegación, como puede
ver en la Figura 2.3.*

Una vez que se muestre la ventana emergente,
haga doble clic en el archivo que desea ver o doble
clic en el directorio (Mis Archivos, etc.) para mostrar
todo el contenido que allí se encuentra.

(Recordatorio: En “Mis Archivos” aparecerán todos
los archivos, independientemente del tipo que sean,
mientras que en los demás vínculos de navegación
solamente aparecerán los tipos de archivo
asociados a la categoría en cuestión.

Su Medidor de capacidad se encuentra en la
esquina inferior izquierda del escritorio del urDrive.
La capacidad restante (o disponible) de su unidad
USB se muestra tanto numérica como gráficamente. Figura 2.4 – Medidor de capacidad

Al añadir contenido a su dispositivo, el indicador
aumentará hasta que el dispositivo alcance su
capacidad máxima.

Si intenta sobrecargar el urDrive, podría mostrarse
la advertencia en la figura 2.5.

Para solucionar este problema, cierre el urDrive,
elimine uno o más archivos que no se utilicen y Figura 2.5 – Llenado en exceso de urDrive
vuelva a iniciar urDrive.

*Nota: La función de pasar el puntero del ratón muestra el contenido guardado en cada uno de los
vínculos de navegación correspondientes en la pantalla de inicio solamente. Si está viendo en la
pantalla el contenido de un vínculo (Mis fotos, Mi música, etc.), con un solo clic del ratón se mostrarán
los tipos de archivo asociados a esa categoría.


Uso general

Registrarse y obtener una cuenta urDrive
(Nota: si ya tiene una cuenta activa de urDrive, puede omitir este paso e ir a Inicio de sesión.)

Pulse el vínculo Regístrese que hay en la esquina
superior derecha de la pantalla de inicio.
Durante el proceso de registro se le pedirá que
introduzca una dirección de correo electrónico, su
nombre, sus apellidos, y la contraseña que desee.
Introduzca la información necesaria en los campos
existentes, que puede ver en la figura 3.1.
Acepte los Términos y condiciones y pulse
Regístrese para completar el proceso.
Tiene la opción de recibir información actualizada
sobre urDrive por correo electrónico: para ello
marque la casilla correspondiente. (Este campo es

Iniciar sesión (en su cuenta urDrive)

Pulse el vínculo Inicio de sesión que hay en la
esquina superior derecha de la pantalla de inicio.
Introduzca la dirección de correo electrónico y la
contraseña que utilizó para registrar su cuenta de
urDrive, tal como puede ver en la figura 3.2
Pulse el botón Inicio de sesión de color verde para
continuar.

Explorar la Interfaz

Navegue hacia adelante o hacia atrás en la
interfaz utilizando las flechas de navegación
rápida.

También puede acceder rápidamente al Figura 3.3 – Navegación rápida
escritorio de inicio del urDrive haciendo clic en
el icono que representa una casa al lado de
las flechas de navegación. Vea la figura 3.3.

Una vez que haya añadido contenido al Vista en
miniatura
urDrive, puede visualizarlo en la interfaz como
una lista de miniaturas como se muestra en la
figura 3.4.

Vista de lista mostrará varios atributos de
archivo e información.
Vista de lista
Vista en miniatura mostrará la imagen por
defecto proporcionada por el Explorador de
Windows.

Cree un nuevo elemento seleccionando el
icono que se muestra en la figura 3.5. Este
elemento será diferente dependiendo de su Figura 3.5 – Crear carpeta
posición en la “Barra de navegación”.

Además de añadir archivos a través de la
interfaz del Explorador de Windows, también
puede importar archivos dentro de Mis
archivos, Mis fotos, Mi música y Mis
vídeos.

Seleccione el icono (como se muestra en la
figura 3.6) y elija Importar archivos para
importar archivos individuales o Importar Figura 3.6 – Importar archivos
carpetas para importar una carpeta con su
contenido.

(Nota: El aspecto del icono Importar archivo
variará cuando se encuentre en Mis archivos,
Mis fotos, Mi música y Mis vídeos, pero la
funcionalidad permanecerá igual.)


El campo de búsqueda le permite buscar
contenido almacenado localmente en su
unidad USB e información en Internet.

Utilice el menú desplegable para explorar las
opciones de búsqueda. Vea la figura 3.7.

Cualquier búsqueda con Yahoo! iniciará el
navegador integrado Maxthon para llevar a
cabo su búsqueda en Internet.

Explorar la App Zone le ayudará a encontrar
la aplicación que quiera descargar.

Seleccionando Mis archivos, Mis fotos, Mi
música o Mis vídeos puede acotar los
resultados de su búsqueda y localizar los tipos Figura 3.8 – Opciones de búsqueda
de archivos compatibles fácilmente.

Buscando con la Guía de usuario puede
ubicar rápidamente respuestas a sus
preguntas relacionadas con las funciones y la
funcionalidad de su urDrive. Vea la figura 3.8.

Acceda a la opción Opinión desde cualquier
pantalla para obtener sugerencias o formas de
mejorar la experiencia urDrive. Vea la figura

Para completar el formulario de comentarios,
seleccione la categoría que quiera comentar.
Puede elegir entre: Antivirus, Hacer una
copia de seguridad, TIENDA, Juegos, y
Otros.

Cuando haya seleccionado la categoría, debe
escribir su dirección de correo electrónico en
el campo “Dirección de correo electrónico” y
escribir su comentario en el campo
“Comentario” como se muestra en la figura
3.10.

Haga clic en Enviar para continuar. Recibirá
un correo electrónico confirmando que la
operación se ha realizado con éxito.


Explorar Mis Archivos

El icono Mis Archivos le permite acceder a todo el contenido almacenado en el urDrive (y
subcarpetas), sin importar el tipo de archivo o la extensión del programa. urDrive utiliza las
aplicaciones por defecto de Microsoft Windows™ para abrir los archivos seleccionados en la ventana
Mis Archivos.

Cree una Nueva carpeta seleccionando el icono
que representa una carpeta como se muestra en la Figura 4.1 – Crear carpeta
figura 4.1.

La nueva carpeta aparecerá en el panel izquierdo
de la ventana bajo las carpetas por defecto del
urDrive.

Para cambiar el nombre de la carpeta, haga clic con
el botón derecho y seleccione Cambiar nombre
para escribir el nombre que desee como se muestra

Añada contenido a su nueva carpeta haciendo clic
en el botón Importar archivos y carpetas. Desde
esta pantalla puede importar archivos individuales
o carpetas completas in Mis archivos. Vea la Figura 4.3 – Importar archivos y carpetas

Puede añadir contenido a sus carpetas


seleccionando el archivo o grupos de archivos y
luego arrastrándolos desde la ventana principal Mis
Archivos a su Nueva carpeta. Vea la figura 4.4.

Puede acceder a las opciones adicionales de menú
(como se muestra en la figura 4.5) haciendo clic
con el botón derecho del ratón en sus archivos en la
ventana principal.

(Nota: Las carpetas “Favorites”, “Photos”, “Music”,
“Video” y “Apps” no se pueden cambiar de nombre,
borrar o cortar de “Mis Archivos” ya que son
necesarias para que el urDrive funcione
correctamente.)

Organice sus archivos por “Nombre”, “Tamaño”, “Fecha de creación”, “Fecha de modificación” y “Tipo”
en “Mis Archivos” haciendo clic en el encabezado correspondiente.

Ejemplo: Para organizar por nombre haga clic en el encabezado “Nombre” y sus archivos se mostrarán
ordenados alfabéticamente de la A a la Z. Haga clic una vez más en “Nombre” y aparecerán
ordenados de la Z a la A.

Explorar Mis fotos


El icono Mis fotos permite acceder rápida y fácilmente a todos los archivos de imágenes guardados
en urDrive (en la carpeta Photos). En esta sección solamente se mostrarán los tipos compatibles con
Mis fotos. [Tipos compatibles: .jpeg, .jpg, .bmp, .gif, .cdr, .psd]

Presentación de fotos

Active el modo Presentación seleccionando Todas
mis fotos o un álbum de fotos y haga clic en el
icono “Reproducir” en la esquina superior derecha Figura 5.1 – Ver presentación
de la ventana principal Todas mis fotos . Vea la
figura 5.1.

Durante la presentación puede moverse hacia
adelante o hacia atrás, pausar, maximizar la
ventana, ajustar la configuración, rotar y/o borrar la
imagen mediante el panel de control como se Figura 5.2 – Barra de herramientas de
presentación
muestra en la figura 5.2.

*La configuración de la presentación puede ajustarse para que el tiempo de espera entre imágenes
sea mayor o menor y/o activar Repetir presentación . No olvide guardar su configuración cuando
haya realizado su selección.

Biblioteca de fotos

La categoría Todas mis fotos muestra todas las
fotos en la carpeta “Fotos”.

La categoría Todos Mis álbumes muestra todos los
álbumes creados en urDrive junto con otros álbumes Figura 5.3 – Biblioteca de fotos
copiados en el icono Mis fotos en la Barra de
navegación.

Puede añadir imágenes haciendo clic en el botón
Importar fotos y álbumes. Desde este punto puede

Cree un nuevo Álbum sin título seleccionando el
icono que representa una carpeta como se muestra Figura 5.5 – Crear álbum

Su Álbum sin título aparecerá en el panel izquierdo


de la ventana bajo la categoría Álbumes de fotos.

Para cambiar el nombre de esta carpeta, haga clic
con el botón derecho del ratón y seleccione
Cambiar nombre para escribir el nombre que

Explorar Mi Música

El icono Mi Música permite acceder rápida y fácilmente a todos los archivos de música guardados en
urDrive (en la carpeta Music). En esta sección solamente se mostrarán los tipos compatibles con Mi

Reproductor musical

Utilice el reproductor de música integrado para
escuchar su contenido de audio haciendo
doble clic en el archivo que quiera escuchar.

Durante la reproducción puede avanzar hacia
adelante o atrás, pausar, ajustar el volumen, Figura 6.1 – Reproductor musical
repetir todo, repetir uno, y reproducir
aleatoriamente. Vea la figura 6.1 para
referencia.
Biblioteca musical

La categoría Música muestra el contenido de su
carpeta Music.

Esta categoría se encuentra en el lado izquierdo
de la interfaz Mi música como se muestra en la
figura 6.2.

Añada contenido de audio haciendo clic en Importar
pistas y álbumes. Desde este punto podrá importar

Puede añadir contenido a su lista de reproducción
seleccionando una canción, un grupo de canciones
y/o álbumes, y luego arrastrándolos desde la
ventana principal Música a su nueva lista de

haciendo clic en el encabezado correspondiente.

En “Vista en miniatura”, organice sus archivos por “Álbum”, “Artista”, y “Género” seleccionando el botón
correspondiente.
urAppZone

urAppZone es un portal que proporciona acceso a cientos de juegos, aplicaciones y utilidades para
descargar. Puede organizar según: What’s New, Top Rated, App Essentials, Top Categories y Top
Apps (de pago o gratuito). Para más información relacionada con la aplicación, póngase en contacto
con el desarrollador de la aplicación.

Desde Mi música, puede navegar hasta
urAppZone seleccionándola en el panel izquierdo
de la ventana. Vea la figura 7.1.

(Nota - También puede acceder a urAppZone Figura 7.1 – Directorio de la tienda
desde el escritorio de inicio de urDrive haciendo clic
en TIENDA.)


Para descargar una aplicación, debe iniciar
sesión en su cuenta urDrive. Para más
información sobre el inicio de sesión vuelva a la
figura 3.1.

Una vez que haya iniciado sesión, haga clic en la
aplicación y seleccione Free o Buy y complete la
descarga. Vea la figura 7.2.

Para ver el progreso de descarga de la aplicación
seleccione Descargas en el panel izquierdo de la Figura 7.2 – Descarga de aplicaciones
ventana.

Desde urAppZone, puede volver a la página de
inicio haciendo clic con el botón derecho en
urAppZone and seleccionando Página de inicio
como se muestra en la figura 7.3.

(Nota: urAppZone y Downloads no se pueden
cambiar de nombre o eliminarse ya que son

necesarios para que urDrive funcione

El directorio Apps de descargas como se muestra
en la figura 7.4, muestra todas las aplicaciones
descargadas de urAppZone.

Explorar Mis vídeos

El icono Mis vídeos proporciona acceso a todo el contenido almacenado en urDrive (en la carpeta
Video). En esta sección solamente se mostrarán los tipos compatibles con Mis vídeos. [Tipos
compatibles: .avi, .asf, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .rmvb, .rm, .dat, .mp4, .mov]

Reproducción de vídeos

Para ver un vídeo, haga doble clic en el archivo. UrDrive utiliza el software de reproducción de
vídeo por defecto para abrir sus archivos de vídeo.

Biblioteca de vídeo

La biblioteca de vídeo muestra los vídeos
individuales y las colecciones de vídeo en la carpeta
Video.

Esta categoría se encuentra en el lado izquierdo de la Figura 8.1 – Biblioteca de vídeos
interfaz Mis vídeos como se muestra en Figure 8.1.

Añada contenido de vídeo haciendo clic en el botón
Importar vídeos y colecciones. Desde este punto
podrá importar vídeos individuales o colecciones Figura 8.2 – Importar vídeos y colecciones
completas en Mis vídeos. Vea la figura 8.2.

Cree una Colección de vídeo seleccionando el


icono que representa una carpeta como se muestra

Su nueva Colección de vídeo sin título aparecerá
en el panel izquierdo de la ventana bajo la categoría
Colecciones de vídeo.

Para cambiar el nombre de la colección, haga clic

Puede añadir contenido a su colección
seleccionando un vídeo o grupo de vídeos y luego

El icono Configuración le permite personalizar la experiencia del usuario ya que otorga acceso a
algunas de las preferencias de interfaz disponibles en urDrive.

General
Seleccione su preferencia de idioma, compruebe las actualizaciones de software, o desinstale urDrive
seleccionando la opción correspondiente.

(Nota: Para una interfaz de página de inicio plana, puede desactivar “Banners expandibles”
deseleccionándolos en la pantalla de configuración.)

Fondo
Personalice el escritorio de inicio de UrDrive con un
fondo de escritorio personalizado cargando su
propia imagen o seleccionando una de las imágenes
por defecto. Vuelva a la figura 9.1.

Para cargar su propia imagen: seleccione Subir y
navegue hasta la imagen que quiera utilizar. Ábrala
y seleccione Aplicar para continuar.

También puede seleccionar si quiere ver la imagen
Centrada, En mosaico o Expandida para darle Figura 9.1 – Fondo personalizado
una apariencia diferente.

Directorio raíz
Su nueva unidad USB contendrá ciertos archivos y carpetas necesarias para el funcionamiento de
urDrive. Acceda al directorio raíz de su unidad del mismo modo que lo haría con cualquier unidad USB
seleccionando Inicio>Equipo (o “Mi PC”) y navegue hacia Kingston urDrive.

Por defecto, su unidad contendrá los siguientes
archivos en el directorio raíz:

 autorun.inf
 unInstaller.exe
 urDrive.exe

Al hacer clic en la Barra de navegación, algunas
carpetas se crearán para que cualquier contenido
que transfiera a estas secciones aparezca en la
carpeta apropiada.

Acceder a Mis fotos creará la carpeta Photos, Mi
música creará la carpeta Music y Mis vídeos
creará la carpeta Video en el directorio raíz. Vea la
figura 10.2.

Der USB-Flashspeicher* DataTraveler® von Kingston Technology verfügt exklusiv über die bereits

Erste Schritte

1. Starten Sie die urDrive Software durch
Doppelklickauf das Dateisymbol urDrive.exe auf
Ihrem USB-Speicher.
2. Wählen Sie aus dem Dropdown-Menü Ihre
bevorzugte Sprache. Abbildung 1.1.
3. Klicken Sie auf die Taste Erste Schritte, um mit
der ENDBENUTZER-LIZENZVEREINBARUNG
fortzufahren.
4. Sie haben folgende Auswahlmöglichkeiten:
‚Nutzungsbedingungen akzeptieren‘, ‚Ablehnen Abbildung 1.1 – Begrüßungsbildschirm
und schließen‘ oder ‚Ablehnen und
deinstallierenl‘. Um die Software zu verwenden,
wählen Sie Nutzungsbedingungen akzeptieren
und klicken auf WEITER, um fortzufahren.

Ihr Startbildschirm bietet Zugriff auf alle Aspekte des urDrive. Von hier aus können Sie ein urDrive-
Benutzerkonto anlegen, die „Top-Anwendungen“ durchsuchen, über den „Navigationsbalken“ Inhalte
hinzufügen und alles erfahren, was urDrive zu bieten hat.

Top-Anwendungen


Die Funktion PC Checkup ermöglicht Ihnen, eine kostenlose Software
herunterzuladen, die Ihren Computer automatisch auf potenzielle Sicherheitsrisiken
und/oder Leistungsprobleme hin scannt. Außerdem verbessert Sie die Sicherheit und
sorgt dafür, dass Ihr Computer funktioniert, als sei er neu. Support-Informationen

Die Funktion Durchsuchen ermöglicht Ihnen, mit den Dual Display Engines™, von
Maxthon im Internet zu surfen und Ihre Web-Erfahrung mit blitzschneller Technologie
und der Möglichkeit, zwischen Ultra- und Retro-Modus umzuschalten, individuell

Die Funktion Sicherungskopie ermöglicht Ihnen, Daten entsprechend Ihrer
Benutzereinstellungen in vdrive, dem speziellen Backup-Hilfsprogramm von urDrive,
zu sichern und wiederherzustellen. Sie können außerdem mit dem optionalen Online
Backup eine zweite Kopie Ihrer Daten anfertigen, eine sichere Art, von jedem
Webbrowser aus auf Ihre Daten zuzugreifen. Support-Informationen finden Sie unter

Fooz Kids ist eine Anwendung, die Kindern eine sichere Internetumgebung bietet
und Eltern Hilfsmittel und die Möglichkeit bietet, zu steuern und zu überwachen,
worauf ihre Kinder online zugreifen. Mittels eines anpassbaren Dashboards können
Sie bestimmte Inhalte abhängig von Alter, Geschlecht oder Interessen zulassen oder

Der Link Spiele bietet eine Menge Spaß und Unterhaltung mit einer Liste toller neuer
Spiele zum Ausprobieren. Mit dem Link Store können Sie weitere Spiele

Der Link Store dient als Portal für die urAppZone, über das Sie auf Hunderte von
Spielen, Anwendungen und Hilfsprogramen Zugriff erhalten.

Der Link Facebook™ bietet über den integrierten Maxthon Browser schnellen Zugriff
auf den Facebook Loginbildschirm


Der Link YouTube™ verbindet Sie zur YouTube Startseite. Von hier aus können Sie
in Ihr Benutzerkonto einloggen oder nach zahlreichen von Benutzern erstellten
Videos suchen.

Der Link Twitter™ dient dem Direkzugriff auf die Twitter Startseite. Von hier aus
können Sie ein Benutzerkonto erstellen oder in ein vorhandenes Benutzerkonto
einloggen.

Navigationsbalken

Das Symbol Startseite bietet Nutzern die Möglichkeit, mit einem einzigen Klick von
jedem Ort in der urDrive Anwendung zum Startbildschirm zurückzukehren.

Das Symbol Meine Dateien ermöglicht den Nutzern den Zugriff auf alle Inhalte, die
auf urDrive (und in dessen Unterordnern) gespeichert sind, unabhängig von Dateityp
oder Programmerweiterung. Im Gegensatz zu Meine Fotos, Meine Musik und
Meine Videos ist Meine Dateien nicht an einen bestimmten Dateityp gebunden und
zeigt darum ungefiltert alle Inhalte des urDrive an. Weitere Informationen finden Sie
unter Durchsuchen von „Meine Dateien“ auf Seite 12 dieses Dokuments.
Das Symbol Meine Fotos bietet eine schnelle und einfache Art, auf alle Bilder
zuzugreifen, die auf urDrive (im Ordner Fotos) gespeichert sind. In diesem Abschnitt
werden nur die Dateitypen dargestellt, die von Meine Fotos unterstützt werden.

Das Symbol Meine Musik bietet eine schnelle und einfache Art, auf alle Musikinhalte
zuzugreifen, die auf urDrive (im Ordner Musik) gespeichert sind. In diesem Abschnitt
werden nur Dateitypen angezeigt, die von Meine Musik unterstützt werden.

Das Symbol Meine Videos bietet eine schnelle und einfache Art, auf alle Videos
zuzugreifen, die auf urDrive (im Ordner Videos) gespeichert sind. In diesem Abschnitt
werden nur Dateitypen unterstützt, die von Meine Videos unterstützt werden. [Unterstützte
Dateitypen: .avi, .asf, .mpeg, .mpg, .wmv, .rmvb, .rm, .dat, .mp4, .mov] Weitere Informationen

Das Symbol Nachrichten bietet Nutzern Zugriff auf die neuesten Informationen zu
Produkten von Kingston.

Das Symbol Einstellungen ermöglicht Ihnen die Anpassung Ihrer Benutzererfahrung
durch Zugriff auf einige der auf urDrive verfügbaren Benutzereinstellungen, darunter
Sprachauswahl, Hintergrund und Profilbild. Weitere Informationen finden Sie unter
Durchsuchen von „My Settings“ auf Seite 20 dieses Dokuments.

Das Symbol Hilfe ermöglicht Ihnen, den Anwenderleitfaden für dieses Produkt
anzuzeigen bzw. auszudrucken und zusätzliche Unterstützungsinformationen zu
erhalten, indem Sie Kingston im Internet unter folgender Adresse besuchen:

Tipps zur Benutzung des Navigationsbalkens

Hinzufügen von Inhalten auf dem UrDrive

urDrive unterstützt „Drag-und-Drop“-Funktionalität
für einfache Verwaltung von Dateien.

Sie können urDrive auch über die
Benutzeroberfläche von Windows Explorer füllen,
indem Sie bestimmte Dateien in die jeweiligen
Ordner kopieren, d. h. Dateien in .jpg in den Ordner
Fotos, Dateien in .mp3 in den Ordner Musik, und so
weiter. Siehe Abbildung 2.1.

Wenn Sie Ihre Dateien auf diese Weise ordnen, sind
sie auf Ihrem urDrive immer leicht zugänglich und Abbildung 2.1 – Drag und Drop
übersichtlich.

Benutzen Sie für häufig benutzte Dateien den
Ordner Lesezeichen auf Ihrem urDrive Desktop.

Klicken Sie auf die Schaltfläche Lesezeichen und
ziehen Sie Daten von der Oberfläche Ihres Windows
Explorer in das Fenster Lesezeichen. Siehe Abbildung 2.2 - Lesezeichen

Sie können den Inhalt von Meine Dateien, Meine
Fotos, Mein Musik und Meine Videos anzeigen,
indem Sie einfach Ihren Mauszeiger über den
Navigationslink platzieren, wie in Abbildung 2.3
dargestellt.*

Ein Popup-Menü wird angezeigt, und Sie können die
Datei, die Sie anzeigen wollen, oder das Verzeichnis
(Meine Dateien usw.) doppelklicken um alle
unterstützten Inhalten an diesen Ablageorten
anzuzeigen.

(Denken Sie daran: „Meine Dateien“ zeigt alle
Dateien unabhängig vom Dateityp an, und die
übrigen Navigationsverknüpfungen zeigen nur die
unterstützten Dateitypen an, die mit der jeweiligen
Kategorie verknüpft sind.

Ihre Kapazitätsanzeige befindet sich in der unteren
linken Ecke Ihres urDrive-Startanzeige-Desktops.
Die verbleibende (oder verfügbare) Kapazität wird
Abbildung 2.4 – Kapazitätsanzeige
sowohl numerisch als auch grafisch dargestellt.
Siehe Abbildung 2.4.

Diese Anzeige wird beim Hinzufügen von Inhalten zu
Ihrem Gerät erhöht, bis Sie die volle Kapazität des
Speichers erreicht haben.
Wenn Sie versuchen, den urDrive zu überfüllen,
erhalten Sie möglicherweise die in Abbildung 2.5
dargestellte Warnmeldung.
Um dieses Problem zu beheben, schließen Sie
den urDrive, löschen Sie eine oder mehrere nicht Abbildung 2.5 – Überfüllter urDrive
mehr benötigte Dateien und öffnen Sie den
urDrive erneut.

*Hinweis: Die Funktion des Überstreifens mit der Maus zeigt nur vom Startbildschirm aus die Inhalte
an, die in jedem der entsprechenden Navigationslinks gespeichert sind. Wenn Sie bereits Inhalte
innerhalb eines Links anzeigen (Meine Fotos, Meine Musik, usw.), genügt ein Mausklick, um die mit
dieser Kategorie verbundenen Dateitypen anzuzeigen.


Allgemeine Verwendung

Registrierung für ein urDrive Benutzerkonto
(Hinweis: Wenn Sie bereits über ein aktives urDrive Benutzerkonto verfügen, können Sie diesen Schritt
übergehen und direkt zu Sign in gehen.)

Klicken Sie auf den Link Sign Up in der oberen
rechten Ecke des Startbildschirms.
Während der Registrierung werden Sie gebeten,
eine E-Mail-Adresse, Ihren Vornamen, Ihren
Familiennamen und ein gewünschtes Passwort
anzugeben. Geben Sie die entsprechenden
Informationen entsprechend Abbildung 3.1 in die
Felder ein.
Akzeptieren Sie die Nutzungsbedingungen, und
klicken Sie auf Sign Up, um den Vorgang
abzuschließen.
Sie können wählen, ob Sie Updates von urDrive per Abbildung 3.1 – Registrierungsfenster
E-Mail erhalten, indem Sie das entsprechende
Kontrollkästchen aktivieren. (Dieses Feld ist optional.)

Anmeldung (bei Ihrem urDrive Benutzerkonto)

Klicken Sie auf den Link Anmeldung in der oberen
rechten Ecke des Startbildschirms.
Geben Sie die E-Mail-Adresse und das Passwort,
die Sie zur Registrierung bei urDrive verwendet
haben, wie in Abbildung 3.2 dargestellt ein.
Klicken Sie auf die grüne Schaltfläche Anmeldung,

(Hinweis: Wenn Sie Ihr Passwort vergessen, können Sie es durch Klicken auf den Link Passwort
vergessen? im Fenster ‚Anmeldung‘ zurücksetzen. Sie benötigen Zugriff auf das E-Mail-Konto, das
Sie bei der Registrierung für urDrive angegeben haben. Support-Informationen über Ihr Benutzerkonto
finden Sie unter www.urfooz.com/help/contact-us )


Benutzung der Oberfläche

Mit Hilfe der Schnellnavigationspfeile können Sie
sich in der Benutzeroberfläche vorwärts und
rückwärts bewegen.

Durch Anklicken des Haussymbols neben den Abbildung 3.3 – Schnellnavigation
Navigationspfeilen erhalten Sie schnellen Zugriff auf
den urDrive-Start-Desktop. Siehe Abbildung 3.3.

Wenn Sie Dateien auf Ihrem urDrive ablegen,
Miniaturenan-
können Sie diese auf der Benutzeroberfläche oder zeige

als Liste von Miniaturanzeigen wie in Abbildung
3.4 sehen.

Die Listenanzeige zeigt verschiedene
Dateiattribute und -informationen.

Durch Auswählen des Symbols in Abbildung 3.5
legen Sie einen neuen Ordner an. Dieser Ordner
ist unterschiedlich, je nach Standort innerhalb des Abbildung 3.5 – Ordner erstellen
„Navigationsbalkens“.

Zusätzlich zum Hinzufügen von Dateien über die
Benutzeroberfläche von Windows Explorer können
Sie auch Daten direkt aus Meine Dateien, Meine
Musik und Meine Videos importieren.

Wählen Sie das Symbol (siehe Abbildung 3.6) und
wählen Sie Dateien importieren zum Import von
Einzeldateien oder Ordner importieren zum Import
von Ordnern samt Inhalt.

(Hinweis: Das Symbol Dateiimport erscheint
unterschiedlich in Meine Dateien, Meine Fotos,
Meine Musik und Meine Videos, aber die
Funktionen bleiben die gleichen.) Abbildung 3.6 – File Import

Im Dropdown-Menü finden Sie die verschiedenen
Suchoptionen. Siehe Abbildung 3.7.

Eine Yahoo! Suche startet den integrierten
Maxthon Browser für die Suche im Internet.

Eine Suche in der App Zone hilft Ihnen dabei, die
gesuchte Anwendung zum Download zu finden.

Durch die Auswahl von Meine Dateien, Meine
Fotos, Meine Musik oder Meine Videos können
Sie Ihre Suche verfeinern und die unterstützten
Dateitypen schnell finden. Abbildung 3.8 – Suchoptionen

Im Benutzerhandbuch finden Sie rasche Antworten
auf Ihre Fragen über Funktionen des urDrive. Siehe
Abbildung 3.8.

Falls Sie Vorschläge zur Verbesserung der
Benutzererfahrung für den urDrive haben, können
Sie diese mit der Option Feedback auf allen
Abbildung 3.9 – Feedback
Anzeigen abgeben. Siehe Abbildung 3.9.

Zum Ausfüllen des Feedback-Formulars wählen Sie
die Kategorie, zu der Sie einen Kommentar
abgeben wollen. Sie können wählen zwischen:
Antivirenprogramme, Sicherungskopie, Store,
Spiele, und Andere(s).

Nachdem Sie Ihre Kategorie ausgewählt haben,
müssen Sie Ihre E-Mail-Adresse in das Feld „Ihre
Email-Adresse“ und Ihre Kommentare in das Feld
„Ihr Kommentar“ eingeben (siehe Abbildung 3.10).

Klicken Sie auf Abschicken, um fortzufahren. Sie
erhalten eine Bestätigung, dass Ihre Einreichung Abbildung 3.10 – Feedback-Formular
erfolgreich war.


Durchsuchen von „Meine Dateien“

Das Symbol Meine Dateien ermöglicht den Zugriff auf alle auf einem urDrive (und seinen
Unterordnern) gespeicherten Inhalte, unabhängig von dem Dateityp oder der Programmerweiterung.
urDrive verwendet Ihre Standard-Microsoft Windows™-Anwendungen zum Öffnen der im Fenster
Meine Dateien angegebenen Dateien.

Legen Sie einen Neuen Ordner an, indem Sie das
Ordnersymbol wie in Abbildung 4.1 auswählen. Abbildung 4.1 – Ordner erstellen

Der neue Ordner erscheint in der linken
Fensterhälfte unter den Standardordnern des
urDrive.

Zum Umbenennen dieses Ordners klicken Sie mit
der rechten Maustaste und wählen Rename zur
Eingabe Ihres gewünschten Namens wie in Abbildung 4.2 – Ordner umbenennen

Durch Anklicken des Symbols Dateien und Ordner
importieren können Sie einzelne Dateien oder
komplette Ordner in Meine Dateien importieren. Abbildung 4.3 – Dateien und Ordner

Durch Auswählen einer Datei oder Gruppe von
Dateien und Ziehen/Ablegen von Ihrem Hauptordner
Meine Dateien in das Fenster Ihres Neuen Ordners


können Sie Ihren Ordnern weitere Dateien

Durch Rechtsklicken auf Ihre Dateien im
Hauptfenster können Sie auf weitere Menüoptionen
zugreifen (siehe Abbildung 4.5).

(Hinweis: Die Ordner „Lesezeichen“, „Photos“,
„Musik“, „Video“ und „Apps“ können nicht im Ordner
„Meine Dateien“ umbenannt, gelöscht oder
ausgeschnitten werden, da sie für die Funktionalität
des urDrive benötigt werden.)

Sortieren Sie Ihre Dateien nach „Name“, „Size“, „Created Date“, „Modified Date“ und „Type“ in „Meine
Dateien“ durch einen Klick auf die entsprechende Spaltenüberschrift.

Beispiel: Um nach Namen zu sortieren, klicken Sie auf die Spaltenüberschrift „Name“, und Ihre Dateien
werden alphabetisch von A bis Z angezeigt. Klicken Sie noch einmal auf „Name“, und sie werden von Z
bis A angezeigt.

Durchsuchen von „Meine Fotos“

Das Symbol ‚Meine Fotos‘ bietet eine schnelle und einfache Art, auf alle Bilder zuzugreifen, die auf
urDrive (im Ordner Fotos) gespeichert sind. In diesem Abschnitt werden nur die Dateitypen dargestellt,
