Country File to NME to Marie Claire
• However, Publishers will only take on a product that they believe will
appeal to its target market and a product that will sell well.

• Similar to how there are few publishing companies that
specialise in a specific genre, there are only a fw
distributors that specialise in a certain genre of
magazine.
• MusicMags is one of a few examples that focus on a
specific genre of music.

• As there are few publishers and distributors who
specialise to a certain genre of magazine, they are
influenced to take on your product if there is evidence
that it will do very well in the magazine industry.
• This is good for ONE magazine because there are not
many popular Country music magazine for younger
fans.
• This means that publishers and distributors will be
interested in investing in the product and the brand.

• It could be worth aiming to get a specialised
publisher/distributor to invest in my magazine as they
will have more experience in how to promote and sell
the magazine in the best ways.
• For example, MusicMags, who specialise in music
magazines.
