Fishing This Area
On any given summer evening, trout angling can be part of your routine. You could be wading
and trying your luck. There are many miles of Class One trout streams that flow nearby. There
are even naturally sustaining trout fisheries in the vicinity, very few are in the Midwest,
producing both brook and brown trout.

The area is indeed unique. Many of the waters rise from a series of spring holes in pastures
dotted around the countryside. The rivers can be broad and shallow, averaging perhaps 40 feet
wide and up to many feet deep. While in other locales, skinny water is the rule. Variety is the
norm and trout are often hungry and abundant. You will never run out of new runs to explore.
