FLOOD SITUATION REPORT OF UTTAR PRADESH
Date: July 18, 2011
Current Situation:
Uttar Pradesh faces heavy rain since last two days and also in the hills of Nepal. 174,432
cusec water comes from Nepal through Banbasa Bairaz at Saturday night. Due to this
water and regular rainfall maximums rivers of Uttar Pradesh are flooded but major river of
eastern part of Uttar Pradesh Ghaghra, Sharda and Sarau will rising very fast and some
places they touch or cross warning level. The flood threat looms a large over a numbers of
villages in Lakhimpur Khiri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Baharaich, Gonda and Faizabad badly.
Ghaghra crosses the danger level at Elgin Bridge and its come to 106.086 meter.
Due to Ghaghra raising the flood threat looms over 150 villages in Baharaich.
Seven houses and 100 bighas of crop land had been eroded in Bansgarhi village at
Mahasi Tahasil of Baharaich district.
More than two and half dorgen link roads are flooded in Nanpara, Mahasi,
Kaisherganj and Fakarpur block.
In the district Sitapur more than 14 houses are eroded at Behta block. Peoples start
evacuating at Rampur Mathura block when Chouka River crosses danger level.
Kashipur village on the verge of ending due to regular erosion through Sharada
river but the people are struggling for there existence.
River Sharda is flow above the denger level in district Lakhimpur.
Hundreds of villages are flooded in Nighasan, Ramiyabehad, Dhahraura, Phulbehad
and Nakaha block of Ishanagar Tahasil in Lakhimpur district.
All rivers are start erosion and it will become create severe situation in all districts.
Situation is tense at Belha- Baharauli embankment because of river Ghaghra
flowing to near by embankment.
Ghaghra affected at three places on Railway track of Barabanki-Gonda rout.
Railway declare alert due to this situation.
The evacuated people are facing problem for their basic need and animals are not
getting the fodder.
