Why do you need a list?
• Plain and simple – without a targeted list of
  prospect to market to, you won’t make much
  money.
• Very few people ever come back to your site
  more than once. They may intend to, but
  don’t
• Without a way to capture their name and
  email addresses, they are lost forever
What’s you niche?
• Niche down deep
• Need a specific target market
• If you are on a small podium with a
  microphone in the middle of a sea of millions
  of talking people, all flitting from one to
  another and talk about your product, will they
  hear you?
• What if it’s a few thousand and they are all
  interested in what you have to say…
Who’s your ideal customer?
•   Get specific here…
•   What is there age range?
•   Male or female?
•   Married?
•   Children?
•   Where do they live?
•   What is their income?
•   *If you don’t know who they are how will you
    find them?
Where do they hang out?

• On niche specific forums and
  message boards
• Niche specific blogs
• Facebook
• Twitter
• Linked In
Importance of an opt in page
• Also known as “squeeze page”
• Need an opt in form on your website
• A means to capture first name and
  primary email address of targeted
  prospect
• Valuable giveaway or bribe such as a free
  special report, eBook, audio, video,
  teleseminar or webinar.

Building a relationship with your list
• Once they are on your list you must build a
  relationship, then you can market to them
  over and over again
• You want them to want to be in your
  community – your space.
• Look forward to opening your emails
• Know like and trust factor – people from those
  they know, like and trust.
• Raving fans – tell others, referals

• Forums in you niche – promote in signature
  not posts – don’t spam
• Other niche blogs – relavent comments -
  clickable name links back to your opt in page
• Domain name – keyword rich that points back
  to main site for thank you page – never miss
  opportunity to make offer on thank you page
