Safety needs:
▪ House alarm.
▪ Car alarms.
▪ Locked doors.
4. Humans need to feel good about themselves.
There are two types of self-esteem:
High self esteem.
Low self esteem.
▪ High self esteem
▪ Doing something perfect and getting credit for it.
▪ Making an A in a course that you thought you would fail.
5. Low self esteem
The need for attention
A dream you know will never come true.
It would be good to have high self esteem so that
people wont feel alone or sad.
6. A person’s full potential.
The object to this according to Maslow is to
become everything one person is able to
become.
To be self aware.
So people will be concerned of ones personal
growth.
Setting goals for one’s self.
7. According to Maslow these are the most
basic needs of a person.
For example:
▪ You need food to survive.
▪ Sleep to operate.
▪ And air to live.
8. Humans have the ability to love and be loved
by other humans.
Relatives or relationships.
▪ If people didn’t feel loved they may feel depressed or
lonely. Antisocial.
▪ It can also be caused by not being accepted into their
favorite sport or class.
▪ Friends making fun of them.
