communications networks.
To use e-mail, you must first create an
account, then you can send or
receive e-mails. You can also use an
e-mail account to create profiles on
various web sites such as Facebook,
Myspace, etc…
2. Podcasting is allows subscribers to subscribe to a
set of feeds to view syndicated Web site content.
2 uses include: museums unofficial audio tour and
comedians have created some of the most
popular podgrams.
3. Chatting or IM (Instant Messaging) is where you
can e-mail someone instantly.
2 uses include: if you don’t want to speak verbally
then you can just IM then, or if you have multiple
conversations it’s easier to handle with IM.
4. A discussion board is a communication tool that
can be used to enhance a course web site.
2 uses include: if you forgot what the homework is,
or if you have a question for a test or something.
5. Texting or SMS (Short message service) is typing
words or inserting messages into your phone, then
sending it to another person.
2 uses include: quick answers, and nervous
questions.
6. A blog is a website with regular entries of
commentary, descriptions of events, or other
material such as graphics or video.
2 uses include: constructive criticism, or to have
something you want to go public, go public.
7. IPhone is useful because it is like a
portable mini-computer/telephone.
The IPhone can hold music, videos, has a
camera, internet, etc.
8. The Palm Pre Phone is almost identical to
the IPhone features wise.
The Palm Pre Phone has a new feature of
multitasking.
9. The Blackberry is good for business, with
internet and stocks, personal, with texting
and phone calls, and recreational, with
camera and media player.
