o Will it be successful?
3. What is Robonanny?
• The term Robonanny comes
by combining the words robot
and nanny which both are
complementary for each-other.
Meaning that this robot can
complete the duties of a real
nanny, including day care,
education, socialization and
fulfilling the needs of the
babies or children by
facilitating innumerous duties
of their parents.
4. Why Robonanny?
• In this contemporary modern world, the
future life is predicted to be more intensive,
sophisticated and qualitative.
• In this context, nowadays the science and
technology is revolutionizing every aspect of our
lives. As a consequence people are being
involved and are requiring more innovative
projects which can make their everyday life
more manageable and uncomplicated.
5. • Nowadays the role of women is society is
dramatically increasing and even women
themselves are seeking their own self and
professional accomplishment.
• General speaking nannies are required to fulfill
a wide range of duties, tasks and needed
knowledge, but these demands are not fully
founded in a single person, but indeed they are
far from the parental pretends.
6. What aspects of life can it cover?
• Robonanny will be able to cover various fields
ranging from a simple day care to economical and
social fields.
• In the economical field it can be approximately the
same cost, but the quality is higher because parents
will be able to command their own Robonanny.
7. o The social field
includes the simple
raising the children
simultaneously
educating them by
cultivating new
patterns of behavior
and perceptions.
8. What can it do specifically?
• Firstly Robonanny can take care of a baby
including his/her needs, like feeding with milk
(biological needs), changing the dippers and all
the other needs of a baby.
• Secondly, can take care of children over an age
of 2 years old, by providing the help in
articulating the first words, making the firsts steps
in walking also entertaining them.
9. • Finally, Robonanny can compensate the
absence of the child’s parents and also can assist
in every need that the child could have, for
example the assistance during the homework of
school.
10. Will it be successful?
• This is not an utopic idea, but it is considered
as a new challenge for scientists. It is a dual
challenge because first in constructing the outer
image of the Robot which should be acceptable
for the children’s eyes and secondly posses the
needed knowledge and affection to complete
and reflect the image and their parents.
11. • “Never before in history has innovation
offered promise of so much to so many in
so short a time.”
