• To serve patients and society by maximizing the value of radiology,
radiation oncology, interventional radiology, nuclear medicine and
medical physics by
– Advancing the science of radiology
– Improving the quality of patient care
– Positively influencing the socio-economics of the practice of
radiology
– Providing continuing education for radiology and allied health
professions
– Conducting research for the future of radiology
3. Who is the ACR?
• The ACR is over 34,000 radiologists, radiation oncologists,
interventional radiologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and
medical physicists
– This includes approximately 5,000 residents and fellows as members in-
training
• The ACR is over 400 professional staff members in Reston, Va.,
Washington, D.C., and Philadelphia, Pa., and Silver Spring Md.
• The ACR is over one thousand volunteers donating their time and
talents

term stakeholders in the future of the profession
