5. Once, a poor farmer found a
beautiful
apple
tree
growing in his field. Its
apples were so large and
shiny and well-formed
that the farmer cried out
with joy when he saw it .
He show it to his wife and
children. They were all
amazed.

6. The farmer gave the
apple to his daughter.
“This is the only thing I
have ever seen that is
as beautiful as you are.
Take it and eat my dear
child”
The daughter rejected it
and said
“It is worthy of a king.”

7. “Such a fruit is worthy of a
king. I will take it to the
king” the farmer said. It is
the only gift that a poor
farmer can give. Then he
went to the king’s palace.

cloth and offer it to the
king as his gift to the
highness. The king was
greatly moved by the
unselfish farmer’s simple
love.
“What would you have from
me in return.?Name it
and its yours.

9. The farmer was astonished.
“I want nothing but
permission to see the joy in
your face when you look at
the apple.”
The king was astonished
with the apple and called
everyone to see it. While
admiring, the king notice
that the farmer was gone.

10. “Ride after him . Take my
best horse and give it to
him. Tell him the horse is
from a grateful king, who
has learned a new lesson.”
The farmer walking along
the road was very happy
with the unexpected gift.

11. A rich merchant of the
town heard the story of
the king’s gift, and he
began to plot and plan.
The rich merchant gave a
fine horse.
“Thank you very much “
said the king.

12. The merchant is expecting a
great gift from the king. The
king
gave
something
wrapped in rich cloth.
“ Take this apple, I was
grateful to receive such gift.
I treasure it more highly
than jewels. It was given by
a man who expected
nothing in exchange.

13. The merchant open the
cloth and it was an
apple. He strode out of
the palace. And threw
away the beautiful fruit.

didn’t
approved of that. He
said “

heart of the giver. A man
should give without expecting
a gift in return. Any other gift is
worthless.”

forces of the government.

country.

duty to be informed.
