2. An immigration attorney with more than 25 years
of experience, Christopher Stender has facilitated
numerous Board of Immigration Appeals and
Court of Appeals decisions over the course of his
career as an immigration attorney. Christopher
Stender also stays at the forefront of his field by
maintaining membership with the American
Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA).
In a recent press release, the AILA announced
that it released the latest versions of the
Immigration & Nationality Act (INA) and the
Immigration Regulations, formally known as the
Code of Federal Regulations (CFR).
3. The 2015 edition of the INA contains all the provisions approved
in 2014 and the statutes related to immigration that are included
in Title 8 of the United States code, but not the INA.
A two-set volume, the CFR serves as an accessible primary-
source reference for both judges and practitioners. The CFR’s
first volume covers Title 8, Aliens and Nationality, while the
second volume reviews immigration-related segments of Titles
6, 20, 22, 28, 42, and 45.
There are a number of new entries in the 2015 editions,
including a final rule from the Department of State regarding the
accreditation and authorization of adoption service providers in
cross-border adoptions. According to the president of AILA, the
new references are an essential resource for every immigration
law office, as they help practitioners provide the most current
and relevant counsel.
