- 3. Libraries favorably impact student retention.The library is the safe learning space that extends the classroom.
- 4. We are the connection between people and information.
- 5. Libraries help in many ways: e.g. student and faculty IDs
- 6. Online classes are all year
- 7. Students from UT/A&M/LSU and other major universities attending HCC for the holiday mini and summer sessions expect professional support from the libraries. These students have a major public relations impact. They typically come from families that vote.
- 8. Workforce classes run all yearThey don’t follow the regular academic schedule, and those students need access to the library EMS students in the library
- 9. We are the bottom line source of help for new and continuing students
- 10. We facilitate/ease student’s path in dealing with HCC
- 12. Students taking classes are paying for professional support. In additional to professional librarians they need resources: Access to the whole HCC library collection with our daily delivery system.
- 13. We are a constant for students. Professors , classes change but we remain friendly faces of encouragement
