Leo Hart
Custom Cloud Product Manager, NetStandard
NetStandard is a leading provider of strategic information technology solutions
for small and midsize businesses. The company’s of offerings include managed
services, virtual machines and cloud computing, al delivered with a consultative
approach and supported by an expert team of engineers. NetStandard
makes a number of Microsoft products available through its cloud computing
platform, Myappsanywhere, along with more than 50 certified applications from
independent software vendors.
The challenge
Delivering and managing a broad range of cloud services at scale
As a managed service provider with years of experience in the field,
NetStandard understood the promise of the cloud. The company also
understood, however, that deploying any cloud of offering would likely place
a considerable strain on the day-to-day administration of more traditional
datacenter services.
To keep pace with competitors, NetStandard needed to find a cloud platform that
could deliver enterprise-class scalability combined with advanced management
tools for a truly streamlined approach to cloud administration. Perhaps most
importantly of al , the platform needed to support customers in a number of heavily
regulated industries, including financial services, healthcare and government.
The solution
Enabling IT as a service on a unified cloud foundation
NetStandard began its search for a cloud orchestration solution by taking a close
look at competing solutions. But only CloudPlatform provided a unified foundation
for large-scale cloud computing with Amazon-style elasticity. “CloudPlatform didn’t
have a steep learning curve,” says Leo Hart, Custom Cloud Product Manager at
NetStandard. “We were able to get the platform up and running easily.”
In addition to a robust cloud orchestration solution, NetStandard recognized the
need for simpler administration of its many client-facing services. The company
turned to CloudPortal Business Manager, combining a self-service cloud catalog
on the front end with a powerful billing engine on the back end.
