ASK Terminals Background
• Due to the strong coupling between contactless cards
  and readers, ASK decided from its creation in 1997 to
  develop expertise in the reader technology.
• The first products were OEM readers, also known as
  couplers. They were followed by desktop and
  handheld terminals.
• ASK contactless readers are recognized by industry
  experts to have top performance, and also to be the
  most universal in terms of card acceptance.
• We are in the 5th generation of readers, with more
  than 100K units installed worldwide.
OEM Couplers
                           CPL427
• OEM product dedicated to integrators and equipment
  manufacturers
• Medium size coupler (103 x 66mm) optimized for high
  speed transactions (transport, access control, banking,
  ID)
• ISO 14443 A, B, B’, Calypso, Mifare, ISO 15693
• RS232 and serial TTL interfaces up to 691Kb/s
• 4 SAM’s, 3 LED’s
• Typical applications: bus & tram validators, gates,
  vending machines, points of sale
• Other versions:
       CPL417 (Serial and parallel TTL interfaces)
       CPL407-U (1 SAM, 51 x 80mm, USB interface)
       CPL407-S (1 SAM, 51 x 80mm)

• High speed RF communication: 106 up to 848 kb/s for
  ISOA/B, and 212 up to 424 kb/s for FeliCa®
