Community Service
Soup Kitchen sign-ups for January 27th and February 3rd.
Mobile Food Pantry: contact Crystal the Community Service chair if you are

We are collecting items to donate to the Animal Shelter. Please visit

RUSH
RUSH is the time when the school sends out invitations to those students who
qualify to be inducted into our club. When the invitations are sent out, we set up
tables around campus to promote our club and get more members! Let a member
of e-board know if you are interested in helping us spread the news about our
club!
March to College Day
In March we will be having a March to College Day where we invite 8th graders
from around the area to get them excited and eager to further their education
beyond high school. Please consider being part of a committee to help organize
this event. Email any member of e-board if you are interested.
Lunch Buddies
We are looking to get a group of NSCS members to take part in a Lunch Buddies
program with schools near the area. Lunch Buddies will go from 11:30-12:30. If
you are interested, email an e-board member whether Monday’s and
Wednesday’s or Tuesday’s and Thursday’s work better for you.
Relay
Relay for Life will take place on April 20th this year. The theme is “There’s No Place
like Hope” (Wizard of Oz). The website to sign up to support our team will be sent

2. out soon. There is a $10 registration fee when you sign up. This would count
towards a fundraiser point. More information on ways to get involved and
according points will come.

Spaghetti Dinner Night
We are working on organizing a Spaghetti Dinner Night in which members would
sell tickets and we would hold the event. We are thinking about doing it around
Valentine’s Day and offer discounted prices for couple tickets. If you are
interested in helping plan this event, contact any e-board member.
PR Chair
We currently have an opening for our PR (Public Relations) Chair. If you are

◾ Publicize chapter meeting, events and member accomplishments

◾ Participate in Organization Fairs, Fall Welcome activities, etc.

◾ Visit Freshman Orientations/Seminars, Honors Classes, Residence Halls, etc.

Certificates
If you were an active or higher status member last semester and did not pick up
your certificate at the meeting, they are in the mailbox in the UC. Our mailbox is
number 31. These mailboxes are located in the lower level of the UC between the
Volunteer Center and Textbook buyback location. Any questions please contact
