This document provides a summary of key findings from a survey of 650 members of the AIIM community on the state of the ECM industry in 2011. Some of the main findings include: - Improving efficiency and optimizing processes are the key drivers for continued ECM investment across organizations of all sizes. Compliance is still a driver but has decreased in importance. - Around half of respondents describe their management of instant messages, emails, and office documents as "chaotic," showing the need to address "content chaos." - While 39% are still filing important emails in personal folders, 18% now have automatic capture to ECM systems. - 16% of respondents have achieved an enterprise-scale
