What does Uranus mean in Greek? Uranus means: Uranus was the lord of the skies and husband of Earth.  He was also the king of the gods until his son Saturn overthrew him.
Where does it located? Uranus is the seventh planet from the Earth.
Is it inner or outer planet? It is outer planet and it is far from the sun.
What is Uranus made of? Uranus is made of water, rocky core and liquid hydrogen.
What is Uranus’s atmosphere made up of? Uranus’s atmosphere made up of hydrogen, helium and methane.
What is the average temperature on Uranus? The average temperature on Uranus -184 º C (-300 º F)
How many moons does Uranus have?   Uranus has 27 moons.  Five of these  moons are large, and the rest are smaller.
What is the diameter of Uranus? Uranus’s diameter is 51,177kilometers (31,763miles).
How long does it take Uranus to orbit the Sun? Uranus take 30,684 days to orbit the Sun.
Interesting Facts It is believed that long ago a large object smashed into this planet.  The crash was so powerful that it completely changed the direction of Uranus’ spin.
