HITECH Act Fast Facts
 part of ARRA “Economic Stimulus Package” of 2009
 $27B+ for HIT infrastructure and EHR adoption/use
 Administered by CMS through Medicare and Medicaid
 Eligible Professionals (EP’s) can qualify for incentives by
demonstrating Meaningful Use of a Certified EHR
system.
