Fourth Quarter Project
You are going to be the teacher for the following topics: Chapter 18: Nervous System Chapter 19: Respiratory System Chapter 2: Photosynthesis Chapter 2: Cellular Respiration Chapter 2: Cellular Transport Chapter 8: Seedless Plants Chapter 9: Seed Plants
Steps for Success Step 1: Read the chapter or section of the chapter you chose. Step 2: Outline the chapter.   The outline must be in Harvard form (like your notes are in class) The outline will be checked by me on Thursday, May 28th
Steps for Success Continued Step 3: Create a vocabulary list. List should include all of the important vocabulary in the chapter You must define each of the vocabulary terms in the chapter
Steps Continued Step 4: On Wednesday you will go to the Popham computer lab to begin looking for the following information Diagrams that can be labeled and aid in you teaching about your topic Diagrams that you can use in your power point or keynote presentation Worksheets that help your students review the material you have covered in class
Steps continued Step 5: You will use your research along with the text book to create a power point or keynote presentation that will teach the class about your topic. Step 6: You must create a notes page which you will hand out to the class so they can take notes on your topic. Step 7: You will create a small quiz in which the students can use to help them review for a quiz
Steps Continued This project will be due on Thursday, June 4th. Presentations begin on June 4th and will continue through June 12th The presentation will count as a project or test grade for the fourth quarter so make sure you spend the time to do it correctly. Also remember what you teach the class will be on the final exam so be as detailed in your teaching as possible.
You will be graded on the following: Outline of the chapter Vocabulary list Diagrams both for your presentation and for labeling Worksheets for the class Practice quiz for the class Presentation itself
