2. ARTIST
• Fort Minor is a hip hop-based side-project of Mike Shinoda, who
is better known as the rapper, rhythm guitarist, keyboardist and
producer of the American rock band Linkin Park. He won an
award from MTV Video Music award. Fort Minor originated from
Los Angeles, California, USA. He started writing and producing
music in 2004 and is still going now in 2015. He was born in
1977 which makes him 38.

3. MUSIC VIDEOS
• Fort Minor has done many videos in his time. Most of his music videos are
very simple. They include filming him rapping and some shots of the scenery
where he is. His most successful video and song was called “Remember The
Name” which I am using in my music video. In that music video he was only
rapping to the camera.
• In most rapping music videos, the rappers are mostly rapping in front of the
camera and also getting shots of scenery. Sometimes they are in cars or are
around good looking girls to make it more attractive. However, I have gone
for a different approach to stand out from the other videos.

4. PRODUCTION SCHEDULE
• I hope to be filming within the Easter holiday because all my filming will be done outside
of school. However, in lessons I will be looking for suitable props and develop my idea
even further.
• I will be editing in school as I don’t have any software on my computer
• I will also need one last double lesson to finish my pre production.

5. ANNOTATED LYRICS
• “Doesn’t need his name up in lights he just wants to be heard” = this lyric is showing that
this person wants to be noticed but doesn’t want to put on a massive show about it. This
links into my video because the football player wants to be noticed that he can play and is
good, but does not want to give off the impression he is the best.
• “Never askin’ for someone’s help” = This also shows that he doesn’t want attention, he
just wants to get on with it and help himself. This links in with my video because my
character does not want to bother anyone, he wants to teach himself how to play.
• “This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will,
five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain and a hundred percent reason to remember the
name” = This is showing what it is like to try hard and practise something that you like
until you are good at it. This is exactly what is happening in my video showing what the
character is going through on his journey to becoming good at what he does.

This is an e-mail asking if I can use Mikes music in my video. This
is to prevent any copyright problems.

13. HEALTH AND SAFETY
• There are no health and safety risks with filming my
music video apart from that I might sustain an injury
from playing football. However, it is very unlikely and I
think that I will be okay.

14. LEGAL AND ETHICAL
There is not going to be any legal problems with my video however
there are some ethical. For example I am a character that is feeling
down that wants to be as good as everyone else. To show that I
have an ethical video I am going to show that he can get support
and be happy again.
