GALLERY WALK
STRATEGY FACILITATION SESSION
Brainstorming and sharing feedback
just got a little more interesting. CLI has
created a new take on the old SWOT analysis
(Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats).
Imagine your next strategic audit being done as a
“gallery walk”, with people reviewing issues of
concern on large poster boards. Using post-it notes,
individuals place their thoughts on a series of SWOT
“boards” spread throughout our training location.
We review and funnel the information to clarify real opportunities, confront assumptions
and start to develop a cohesive strategic approach.
When to use the SWOT Gallery Walk
Use this session to review your business, a project or a specific situation. We use multiple
SWOTS to maximize the evaluation potential of looking at a number of concerns at the
same time.
Expected outcomes
Creation of a shared pool of knowledge around multiple issues
Build on your organization's strengths.
Recognize weaknesses and correct, where possible.
Take advantage of opportunities.
Recognize threats to the organization and take steps to minimize the
effects.
Begin to scale-up a strategic direction for areas of highest priority.
