19. Idiom
Idiom - a set expression of two or more
words that means something other than the
literal meanings of its individual words.
Examples:
- to kick the bucket - to die
- it’s raining
cats and dogs - extremely heavy rain
- you can’t judge a book by its cover -
external appearances don’t tell the whole
story
