- Use slab roller to create texture.
- Lay object on clay then roll through slab
roller.

8. Other Ways To Create
Texture:
• the bottom of a pair of tennis
shoes
• the bottom of a drinking
glass to create perfect circles
• if object is too thick for the
slab roller, you can create a
slab then roll object on the
clay
9. Now You Can Build Your Slab Piece:
- Your piece must be 18” in. tall.
- Your piece must be organic. This means your piece must
be an irregular shape, or one that might be might be
found in nature, not a geometric shape.
10. -Be creative, if you used leaves to
texture your slab then cut your slabs
into different leaf shapes.

• Slabs must have two textures: coffee grounds, rice, or sand and a texture of your choice.
• Piece must be well crafted.
• Grading:
• 5 drawings - 15 points
• template - 10 points
• craftsmanship - 25 points
• slabs have two textures - 25 points
• organic shape - 25 points
