Craig Galloway, a fitness trainer and health expert, shares some tips for increasing the movement in your day. If you sit all day in an office, it is crucial that you get more movement in your day.
5. 1.
Clean
Cleaning
gets
your
arms
in
motion.
Squatting
to
low
spots
or
reaching
to
high
places
requires
you
to
use
different
muscles.
And
a
bonus
is
that
you’ll
have
a
clean
living
space!
6. 2.
Shop!
Carrie
Bradshaw
said
it
best.
There
is
not
much
difference
between
walking
from
shop
to
shop
versus
walking
on
a
treadmill.
And,
if
you
purchase
something,
you’ll
have
to
carry
it
around.
7. 3.
Move
Your
Conversation
Walk
and
talk!
We
may
as
well
take
advantage
of
our
wireless
phones
and
go
for
a
walk
while
on
the
phone.
If
you’re
inside,
pace
around
your
home.
8. 4.
Stand
up
Sitting
for
long
periods
of
time
is
horrible
for
our
bodies.
Try
and
stand
up
at
least
once
an
hour,
even
if
you
stand
up
to
sit
back
down.
9. 5.
Eat
Out
You
don’t
have
to
eat
out
but
go
outside
to
eat.
Take
a
stroll
in
the
middle
of
the
day
and
leave
your
office.
Definitely
don’t
eat
at
your
desk.
10. 6.
Drink
water
Drinking
water
keeps
you
hydrated,
prevents
you
from
overeating
and
flushes
your
system
with
toxins.
Drinking
water
will
also
make
you
need
to
go
to
the
bathroom
more,
and
thus
give
you
a
reason
to
stand
more
throughout
the
day.
