The Knights of Columbus was founded in 1882 by Father Michael J. McGivney to provide spiritual and financial support to Catholic families. It has since grown worldwide to over 15,000 local councils. Bishop Thomas Olmstead praised the Knights for their defense of religious freedom and traditional values. The Knights of Columbus Council 10540 was founded at St. Anne's Church over 70 years ago and its members are involved in their community and church events.

families. From its humble
beginnings, the order has
grown worldwide with over
Father Michael J. McGivney 15,000 councils. He lived to
August 12, 1852 - August 14, 1890
the age of 38 years old.

so they (Knights) represent

4. Father Adrian founded the Knights of Columbus Council
10540 at St. Anne’s and has been a priest for over 70 years

6. Knights float at the Gilbert Days parade. Members are involved in
events in the community and represent our Catholic values in society.
7. Knights attend adoration as a group and pray for our church, our
priests, our families and those in need. Join us Thursdays at 5:30 pm.
8. Womens Auxillary for Council 10540. These women share
their talents for hospitality and support Knights events.
11. The principle of patriotism and service to our faith is demonstrated
by the Fourth Degree.
12. Knights and their families enjoy the annual picnic and get to
know other families.
