  special interest. Specific interests in unique industries pose unique
  challenges.
 PMI introduced Specific Interest Groups (SIGs), soon to be Community
  of Practices (COPs), to create a forum for individuals and organizations
  that share common interests, industry, or project focus.
   The SIG/COP is where one goes to find others who possess specialized
    knowledge and skills and understands the kinds of issues you are dealing
    with.
   SIG/COP activities include networking, establishing standards and practices
    within a focused area, developing technical papers, and working on special
    projects.

   PMP is determined equivalent to the DAU PMT 250 – Program Management
    Tools coursework

   PMT 250 is the primary training requirement for the Program Manager Level
    II DAWIA Certificate

   This acceptance by DAU is validated by letter from the DAU President to the
    PMI CEO – May ‘04

The PMI PMP Certification receives DoD Recognition  A&S SIG Facilitated DAU Acceptance of PMP Equivalence with PMT 250  PMP is now accepted as part of DoD/DAU DAWIA Program Manager Certification  PMP is determined equivalent to the DAU PMT 250 – Program Management Tools coursework  PMT 250 is the primary training requirement for the Program Manager Level II DAWIA Certificate  This acceptance by DAU is validated by letter from the DAU President to the PMI CEO – May ‘04
