Responsibilities
I had the responsibility to make sure faculty members display their work I.D'S,and made sure students display
their ID'S. I carried a radio for communicating with the faculty and security personel. I monitored the children,
coming and going from school,at lunch hours i secured the floors of the areas,and helped out other security
personel. Secured the hall floors while students are in class,and secured at sporting events,making sure
students stay safe and not fight. It was mandatory that i stay on days when students are not in school. And it
was mandatory that i attend meetings. If some one needed medical assistance,i would call the ambulance.
Accomplishments
I will always talk to my Principal, about my supervisor will tell us that,all faculty members are parents to the
students. I always have taken the time to listen to the students,and i wil be firm with them, and i let them know
that i care about them as if they were my child. During my 17 years at Farrugut Career Academy, i feel good
knowing that i have helped many of them,i had a student who had a bad attitude,she would curse and talk
back to the teachers. This year before school was out in june,she talked to me, and told me that,by me talking
to her and telling her, this is your education.She stated she started to change, because she felt i really cared.
Skills Used
I grew up with a strict father,who taught me that you have to be respectful to adults. And i also learned from
my mom.She would say that their is always a way in which you talk to people,no matter what manner they
show.And i have always listened to the students,even though my Principal did not want us talking to the
students,as my supervisor will always tell us. We all are parents to the students.
