COOS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS


 School Board Establishes a Facilities Planning
Committee
 Chartered to develop long range plans
 Address all facilities issues for the School
Board

 Community invited to participate in planning

 Toured each school and considered
 History of school
 Upgrades completed
 Unfinanced requirements



 Made recommendations to the School Board
 All Schools need major upgrades
 Some schools should be considered for replacement
 Infrastructure does not support todays technology

 Established Facilities Task Force
 Chaired by a Community member
 Establish a community vision for our school buildings
o Talk with the community
o Survey the community
 Develop a General Obligation Bond recommendation
to be presented to the School Board

performance, both directly and indirectly. Discomfort
and distraction when they’re cold or hot also effects
learning.
