4. Facebook is a social networking service and website
launched in February 2004, operated and privately
owned by Facebook Inc.[1] As of May 2012, Facebook
has over 900 million active users, more than half of
them using mobile devices.[6] Users must register
before using the site, after which they may create a
personal profile, add other users as friends, and
exchange messages, including automatic notifications

Google Inc.
The service was launched as an invitation-only "field

nearly doubled—from 22% in April 2009 to 42% in May 2010.
Between April 2009 and May 2010, social networking use among
internet users ages 50-64 grew by 88%--from 25% to 47%.
During the same period, use among those ages 65 and older grew
100%--from 13% to 26%.
By comparison, social networking use among users ages 18-29 grew
by 13%—from 76% to 86%.

Find someone in your organization to be responsible for social media and or hire an outside firm to handle it.If hiring an outside firm ask for the results, reports, and exactly what they will be doing. A contract would be nice. No one knows your business as well as you.
Social is all about soft sell interaction , not discounts, not bang them over the head till it sinks in.
