Dakkin designed the triangles emblem for the King
Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST )
corporate identity based on the “Golden Ratio”. This ratio
of 1: 1.618 is frequently found in Nature. Since ancient
times, architects and artists have proportioned their
works according to the Golden Ratio for its aesthetically
pleasing results, and the ratio is also studied and used in
mathematics, physics, and biology.
The color palette of Blue and Green suggests technology
and growth. The selected light Blue is the color of
inspiration and sincerity, while the Green is the color of
nature, life, balance and harmony, as well as being the
basic color of the national flag.
The typographic treatment utilizes elegant, clean and
contemporary type families that provide a progressive
and consistent quality to the brand.

Al Aghar is a large and prestigious Equestrian Club
that offers a wide range of services and facilities, as
well as an abundance of green open spaces.
Dakkin designed this new Al Aghar identity, with
its contemporary emblem. The sweeping lines
surrounding the modern depiction of an Arab horse
create a sense of dynamic motion in the natural
environment.
The color palette of Black and Silver is elegantly
simple, while the typography is classical and very
stylish.

As well as creating this identity, Dakkin provided the
name “Vivienda” to reflect its unique and elegant
character, as a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel in
Riyadh. Dakkin lived with the Vivienda brand from its
beginnings, and the excavation of the site itself.
The letter “V” emblem suggests growth and
abundance, and the relative proportioning
between the emblem and the typeface was
carefully measured to allow both to stand out while
maintaining the balance of the whole logo.

The name for this ER P system portal means ‘knight’
in Arabic. The emblem’s modern calligraphy
perfectly captures the essence of a powerful
leaping horse, while creating the Arabic name. The
calligraphy is drawn in sharp and crisp strokes, in
45-degree angles, with each stroke drawn in a single
curve for legibility. The horse’s legs are depicted in
grey with the front leg bent as if jumping over the
English typeface, which represents a bar.
The hind leg pushes the horse powerfully creating
a strong sense of dynamic upwards movement,
reflecting the power of the ER P system itself.
The head weight of the horse is balanced by its
extended rear leg. This makes the emblem stand
out on its invisible axis, which passes through the
English letter “R”.

The color palette is Blue, denoting stability, and Grey,
symbolizing solidity.

AKWAAN , which is Arabic for universes, required a
new identity that would reflect the quality of work
and high standard of real estate development,
which it would be involved in.
The Akwaan emblem is designed to form the letter
‘Alpha’ as the beginning of the alphabet, as well as
resembling an archway that represents architecture,
and the Arabic origins of the company. The Arabic
typography was specially designed to match the
styling of the emblem.
The color palette of dark Blue and Gold reflects the
solidity and high values of the company.

The Electricity & Cogeneration Regulatory Authority
is a Saudi organization, which regulates the
electricity and water desalination industry in the
Kingdom.
Dakkin designed this identity to represent both
electricity and water. The turquoise shape within
the emblem is an abstract live electricity symbol.
The blue sphere is a droplet of water, with the blue
crescent and turquoise shape also denoting ripples
in water. The fluidity of the classic Arabic calligraphy
used, perfectly complements the look and feel of
the whole design.

BANA Home Decor & Gifts is a completely new brand,
established in California, U.S.A., that specializes in
providing the finest in home furnishings, accessories and
‘objets d’art’ from around the world.
Dakkin was involved in the creation of this brand from
the beginning, including its naming. The BANA logo
expresses the elegant, stylish and international nature
of the company, with its modern typographic treatment
that conveys character. The color palette is fresh, simple
and clean, providing a strong yet natural look and feel.

FORUS is contributing to the development of
the Saudi real estate market with unique ideas,
concepts, and its ambitious vision.
Dakkin designed the FORUS identity to reflect the
creative and modern character of the company.
With its positive, upward sweeping curves, the
emblem connects the elegantly matched English
and Arabic typography.

Villa is a new brand in the field of upscale residential
developments, and the company specializes in
providing modern interpretations of the Saudi-style
home.
Dakkin provided the name for the brand, as well as
designing its corporate identity. The “V” emblem
represents the first letter of the brand name, as
well as denoting openness and transparency that
are key features of the architectural style seen in
Villa developments. These characteristics are not
commonly found in the more traditional Saudi
houses.

SATA , which provides motoring services and
organizes motor sports activities, commissioned
Dakkin to design their new logo.
The “S” emblem is made from two abstract flag
shapes that are evocative of SATA sporting events.
The color palette includes red, which suggests
energy and speed, as well as grey, which provides a
balancing solidity for the complete identity.

Masta is a travel agent that required a corporate
identity, which would stand out amongst its many
competitors.
Dakkin designed this colorful logo with its star-like
emblem made from brush strokes. The strokes appear
to move outwards in different directions, from a
center, which represents the idea of traveling to
different destinations. The emblem can also be seen
as a shining sun.

Makeel is a discount store with the slogan “Stretch
Your Riyal”.
Dakkin designed this identity to reflect the nature
of the client’s business, with the emblem creating
the English letter “M” formed like a ribbon stretching
into the distance. At the end of the emblem is also
the first letter of the Arabic name.
The color palette of Blues and Greens is bright and
fresh reflecting the character of the brand.

KACST Annual Reports 2007, 2008, 2009
Dakkin has designed and produced the KACST
Annual Reports for several years, targeting the
Government decision makers.

These unconventional reports each have conceptual
themes, with consecutive messages clearly
communicated through the reports’ section dividers.

Unique illustrations and visuals were developed
to create an artistic look and feel to make the
information more inviting.

Dakkin created the Annual Report for the bi-annual
Ibtikar exhibition of Mawhiba in 2008, which has
become considered as one of the largest and most
important exhibitions specialized in invention
and innovation in the Middle East. Due to the
trust gained by the agency, for what was widely
acknowledged as an outstanding job, Dakkin was
commissioned to produce all of the work for the
2010 Ibtikar Exhibition.
Engr. Fadi Doidri has been honored in letters of
appreciation for the Ibtikar work, which has helped
to strengthen its brand image, and gain wider
recognition for the event.

Dakkin was commissioned to produce the King
Abdulaziz & His Companions Foundation for
Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) Annual Reports
for four consecutive years, as well as creating and
producing their strategy reports. The agency also
created and proposed the tagline “Where you
belong” for Mawhiba.

Annual Reports for several years running, targeting
the Government decision makers.

Mawhiba received a letter of appreciation,
mentioning the design, from HRH Prince Sultan Bin

  • 22. corporate identity kacst Dakkin designed the triangles emblem for the King Abdulaziz City for Science & Technology (KACST ) corporate identity based on the “Golden Ratio”. This ratio of 1: 1.618 is frequently found in Nature. Since ancient times, architects and artists have proportioned their works according to the Golden Ratio for its aesthetically pleasing results, and the ratio is also studied and used in mathematics, physics, and biology. The color palette of Blue and Green suggests technology and growth. The selected light Blue is the color of inspiration and sincerity, while the Green is the color of nature, life, balance and harmony, as well as being the basic color of the national flag. The typographic treatment utilizes elegant, clean and contemporary type families that provide a progressive and consistent quality to the brand.   • 23. corporate identity al aghar Al Aghar is a large and prestigious Equestrian Club that offers a wide range of services and facilities, as well as an abundance of green open spaces. Dakkin designed this new Al Aghar identity, with its contemporary emblem. The sweeping lines surrounding the modern depiction of an Arab horse create a sense of dynamic motion in the natural environment.   • 24. corporate identity vivienda As well as creating this identity, Dakkin provided the name “Vivienda” to reflect its unique and elegant character, as a one-of-a-kind boutique hotel in Riyadh. Dakkin lived with the Vivienda brand from its beginnings, and the excavation of the site itself. The letter “V” emblem suggests growth and abundance, and the relative proportioning between the emblem and the typeface was carefully measured to allow both to stand out while maintaining the balance of the whole logo.   • 25. corporate identity faris The name for this ER P system portal means ‘knight’ in Arabic. The emblem’s modern calligraphy perfectly captures the essence of a powerful leaping horse, while creating the Arabic name. The calligraphy is drawn in sharp and crisp strokes, in 45-degree angles, with each stroke drawn in a single curve for legibility. The horse’s legs are depicted in grey with the front leg bent as if jumping over the English typeface, which represents a bar. The hind leg pushes the horse powerfully creating a strong sense of dynamic upwards movement, reflecting the power of the ER P system itself. The head weight of the horse is balanced by its extended rear leg. This makes the emblem stand out on its invisible axis, which passes through the English letter “R”.   • 26. corporate identity akwaan AKWAAN , which is Arabic for universes, required a new identity that would reflect the quality of work and high standard of real estate development, which it would be involved in. The Akwaan emblem is designed to form the letter ‘Alpha’ as the beginning of the alphabet, as well as resembling an archway that represents architecture, and the Arabic origins of the company. The Arabic typography was specially designed to match the styling of the emblem. The color palette of dark Blue and Gold reflects the solidity and high values of the company. Dakkin designed this identity to represent both electricity and water. The turquoise shape within the emblem is an abstract live electricity symbol. The blue sphere is a droplet of water, with the blue crescent and turquoise shape also denoting ripples in water. The BANA logo expresses the elegant, stylish and international nature of the company, with its modern typographic treatment that conveys character. Dakkin provided the name for the brand, as well as designing its corporate identity. The “V” emblem represents the first letter of the brand name, as well as denoting openness and transparency that are key features of the architectural style seen in Villa developments.
