2. What is Trailer Analysis?
For this piece of work I will be looking at three separate trailers in detail
and I will be looking to talk about the following things;
•Editing
•Lighting
•Camera shot, angles, movements
•Mise-en-scene
•Sound
For each of these topics I will be looking to scrutinise and decode all of
the trailers into smaller sections. I will be doing it shot by shot however
in some occasions I will group some shots together if it is in quick
succession.

Shot 1:
In this shot we see a character on a boat. This is shot in a wide, long shot,
with the boat sat in the centre with the boat’s mast and bow on the two
horizontal lines of the rule of thirds. The shot only lasts for two seconds and

In this shot we see the main character to the right of the shot in a close up.
The character is on the right hand vertical intersection of the rule of thirds.
The lighting is natural. In this scene we only actually see his facial
expression of him looking up above the camera. The editing in this trailer is
very simple and not has been changed since being shot from the raw
footage. There is also a voiceover on this clip and begins to introduce the
film. This shot lasts just over a second.

In this shot we see the characters on board the boat that was previously
