IP support to SMEs- AIDA Audit (LU): I.Evaluation of positioning of IP practices by translation of answers into scores 0 – 10 for each category of practices and each IP-title II. Generation of different graphs, allowing : 1. To position SME’s IP practices.2. To define objective(s) of improvement. IPorta project- IPorta project - 12/2011 – 12/2014 (3 y.): Follow up IPeuropAware, Participants: NIPOs from 30 countries, Improvement of IP-support for SMEs in Europe, Network of National IP Offices (NIPOs).IPorta- Activities: Creation and up-grading of IP support services, IP toolbox Capacity building for NIPOs and their local partners: workshops and working groups: Experience exchange, Transfer of tools and services, Network of NIPO helpdesks, Link to major IP stakeholders and local business intermediaries, Mapping of IP stakeholders coordinated signposting. Target: very small SMEs, Method: Personalised evaluation of IP practices, Recommendations, coaching, 1 meeting (2 hr) / 1 report / follow up, 100 enterprises (3 years). Conclusions- Focus services/tools on the needs of SME, IPeuropAware / IPorta: Transnational cooperation and coordinating mechanisms, Mechanisms to involve local business intermediaries, Human network.
