Reported directly to the Director of Harvard University’s Allston Development Group.
Responsible for design and construction of cultural facilities to be constructed on the new 350
acre Allston Campus. Initial cultural facilities were to include a performing arts center and
individual museums for Fine Arts, Natural History and Anthropology & Ethnology. Also
responsible for the expansion and renovation of the Fogg Art Museum on the Cambridge
Campus.
 Directed design and construction of the $340M expansion and renovation of the Fogg Art
Museum on Harvard’s Cambridge Campus. Removal of 50,000 sf from original 165,000 sf
facility and expansion to 204,000 sf. Facility includes galleries, fine arts study center,
conservation laboratory, auditorium, classrooms, collection storage, administrative areas,
back-of-house facilities, food service, and public areas. The project is on track to attain a
Gold LEED rating, which is rare for a fine arts museum. Architect: Renzo Piano, Genoa
 Directed development of project budget and schedule.
 Facilitated design workshop sessions with Design Team, Art Museums Director’s Group
and Construction Design Assist team.
 Worked closely with Museum Director to ensure that program, quality, budget and
schedule requirements were achieved by the design.
 Worked with the design team to ensure that the design solutions were adequately
presented and explained to appropriate Museum staff.
 Initiated and facilitated RediCheck review of 100% construction documents for
coordination of building systems as part of the overall quality assurance program.

 Assisted Museum Director and Institutional Advancement with fund raising efforts by
providing images and information required for presentations, and input for grant
applications.
 Coordinated efforts with Harvard University Planning Office in communications with
public approvals agencies, including City and State Historic Commissions, Zoning
Appeals, Accessibility Board, Inspectional Services, City Traffic and Transportation, etc.
as well as University departmental design reviews.
 Assisted Museum Director’s Group in identifying, scheduling and assigning project
related tasks for which Museum staff was solely responsible.
 Provided leadership to design, construction and Owner’s Rep teams through design,
coordination and quality assurance processes.
 Directed the design of the Allston Art Center, a satellite museum for the Harvard Art
Museums consisting of modern and contemporary art galleries, study center, conservation
lab, collection storage and public space. As a result of the economic downturn, this project
and the entire “Allston Initiative” was placed on indefinite hold. Daly Genik Architect received
a Merit Award from the Los Angeles chapter of the American Institute of Architects for the
design of the Allston Art Center in 2008. Architect: Daly Genik Architect, Santa Monica
 Directed design and construction of enabling projects for Fogg Museum expansion and
renovation. This included a $20M off-site facility for the Museum’s collection (5th largest in
USA) and operations. It achieved a CI Silver LEED rating. A second enabling project was
the relocation of Harvard’s Media Slide Library to undeveloped basement space on campus.
This project received an Honor Award for Design from the Boston Society of Architects.
Other enabling work included relocation and installation of on-site utilities.

MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, BOSTON, MA
DIRECTOR OF PROJECT DEVELOPMENT AND CONSTRUCTION JUNE 2004 − APRIL 2006
Responsible for the overall management and development of the $500M building expansion
and existing facility retrofit project. This complex project consisted of demolition of 59,000 sf of
building, 208,000 sf of new construction and 85,000 sf of renovation and refurbishment. This
work was performed while the western portion of the museum continued to conduct normal
operations. Architect: Foster and Partners, London
 Served as a member of the MFA’s Project Executive Committee consisting of the Museum
Director, Campaign Director, Board of Trustees representative and Chief Donor’s
representatives. Was responsible for preparation of the agenda and leading discussion of
critical/urgent issues on a weekly basis.
 Served as a member of the MFA’s Senior Management Team. Met regularly to facilitate
effective dialog dealing with the project and related operational issues.
 Established project schedule and budget for review with the Director, Board of Trustees and
project participants.
 Managed the design and enabling works required prior to construction of the project.
 Coordinated the review of plans with all Museum stakeholders.
 Responsible for project documentation procedures. Initiated and administrated the use of
web-based communication site (Autodesk Buzzsaw) for entire project team.
 Facilitated the process of timely decisions by the project team and initiated formal issuance
of Owner’s authorizations and directives.
 Continued management and coordination of the process to insure all permits and reviews
from public approvals agencies were obtained as required.
 Served as project Director through schematic design phase and construction of a number of
enabling work elements. Left this project on good terms with MFA when recruited by
Harvard for the Allston Initiative.

MASSACHUSETTS INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY
SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER, CONSTRUCTION APRIL 2000 − MAY 2004
Represented MIT during construction of the Ray and Maria Stata Center, a 750,000 sf project
consisting of offices, classrooms, research areas, fitness and day care facilities, public areas
and underground parking with loading dock. Architect: Frank Gehry, Los Angeles
 Served as MIT’s primary contact to the Architect, Construction Manager and Consultants
concerning all aspects of construction of the Stata Center and surrounding grounds.
 Administrated a five-phase “rolling” GMP contract for slurry wall, below grade construction,
building core and shell, interior fit-out and landscaping.
 Responsible for construction budget management and value engineering efforts for each
phase.
 Directed MIT Stata Center Project Management Team (staff of seven) with respect to
construction issues including finances, safety program, quality assurance, construction
mitigation, insurance (OCIP) program, reporting to upper administration, etc.
 Directed communications with Owner’s third party testing companies including peer review
consultants, surveyors, geotechnical engineers, commissioning agent, materials testing
agency, RediCheck, fire alarm testing, etc.
 Administrated the use of web-based communication sites used by construction, design and
Owner’s teams.
 Met regularly with Construction Management and Architect Project Managers to address
urgent issues, maintain clear, amicable channels of communication and to monitor and
maintain healthy project morale.
 Directed construction mitigation communications and measures in response to disturbances
caused by slurry wall construction within close proximity to several classroom and laboratory
buildings.
 Provided regular updates and tours of site to President, MIT administrators, visiting scholars
and donors.
 Prepared future building operations staff for project turn-over.

responsible for management of design and construction of the project in Malaysia. Served
as primary Anway & Company representative to the client, stationed in Kuala Lumpur.
