Restorative yoga has been developed by Sri B.K.S Iyengar since the early eighties. He
invented or innovated most yoga props used by modern practitioners. Teachers like
Dr. Mary Schatz and Judith Lasater kept that tradition alive and evolving in the United States.
Our body's organ systems benefit from deep relaxation. Restorative yoga improves blood pres-
sure, cholesterol and serum glucose (sugar) levels. Restorative yoga benefits those suffering
from chronic illness, immune deficiency, and
generalized fatigue from stress or sport.
Individuals challenged with specific medical
conditions or life changes (pregnancy,
menopause) may benefit from a private session.

under-sleep, where anxiety level is high,
