3. 受験 is over! Now, learning English can be a life-long challenge. Learning it is a process, a journey – not just a destination. What are you going to do during your first year in university to improve (at least maintain) your English language skills?

9. Learning English For Life Maintaining and developing your English language skills is an on-going, life-long learning activity. Once you start your major studies and then start working, it won’t be so easy to maintain or develop your English language abilities. So don’t waste what you have now – at least, try to maintain your skills or improve them. Ideally, you should make a plan for learning and studying English to maintain or improve your English language skills. Just because you entered university does NOT mean that you should ONLY study what you are required. Just because it is required does NOT mean it is not in your best interests. What are your goals for your education and a career? What types and levels of English ability will you need to achieve those goals?

Maintaining and developing – “Use it or lose it.” Investing in yourself and your own ability shows your worth to your future employer. 2. your English language skills - Reading, Writing, Listening & Speaking – all or select one or two 3. is an on-going, life-long – Now is the time when you have the most time. Don’t put off until tomorrow what you can do best today. 4. learning actively. – Studying is only one form of learning – using English is better than “studying”– memorizing, drilling, or practicing
