11. Ethical consideration when treating
HIV patient
*Patient with Aids or who hiv +ve need to be
treated with the same compassion and care that
would be given to any Patient with life threating
illness
* it is unethical to refuse to treat a person who
is HIV – AIDS inected.
12. A doctor who knows that the patient may
endanger the health others has certain
ethical obligations which include
1- persuading the patient to inform his or her
partner(s)
2-notifing authorities if there is suspicion that
the pt. will not inform others
3- as a last resort , notifying the patient`s
partner(s)
