3. A Short Story
3
GENERAL
1983
2009
I was born in Velden, Carinthia (Austria). Near my home town
I attended a local school. Later on in my education, I focused
primarily on information and commuication technologies and
economics (Business School Villach).
2008
2009
Due to an internship and diploma thesis in Munich at User Interface Design (UID) I came in touch with design and usability issues.
2009
2011
Fascinated and deeply interested about non-technical issues I
attended the master program Communication, Media and
Knowledge in Hagenberg (Upper Austria).
The personal goal was to broaden my profile in social sciences,
communication and organizational theories as well as (social)
media and design.
2010
2013
At this time, I started working as a User Interface Designer and
Usability Engineer for A1 that was one of our major clients at my
company Webdynamite IT Solutions GmbH.
I became aware of design-related problems in organizational
structures that were highly characterized by economic, political,
technological and social tensions.
2011
2013
Deepening my design expertise in a master thesis about
designing innovation with “Design Thinking” the idea was evolving that I’d like to learn more about the doing of design in the
physical world. As a result I applied for the international master
“Innovation and Product Management” getting more experience
in product development and industrial design projects.
Afterwards I studied Information Management with focus on
software, information and database systems in Graz.
CAREER
The work with clients and end consumers was a life-changing
experience to think in future projects beyond technical
requirements and constraints.
