RESEARCH
During the initial phases of
Planning, system study and
user centric analysis, I laid
more emphasis on capturing
the user adoptability to the
existing workspace and the
way an user interacts with it.

This was done through
capaturing real life
scenarios in form of videos
and photographs,
questionaires, interviews,
focus group discussions.

Bench marking, trend
forecasting and ergonomic
study was also done during
these phases.

A good exploraton during
these phases laid strong
database for further phases
of my project.

With the inputs from the initial phases, I am going through
concept development phase and with one more
semester’s time being left in my project, I will be going
through Detail Design, Validation and prototype phases.

The sketches in this pages showcase a glimpse of few
rough exterior concepts done during basic exterior
iterations exercise which was done as a warmup exercise
before proceeding to the interior space conceptualization.

The Interior workspace with which I will be comingup will
be a milestone for contemporary workspaces and will be
exclusive for Indian user.

Tractors are an unique species in
the world of automobiles and
multi purpose vehicles. With an
interest to explore this less cared
interesting species, I underwent
Design Internship at TAFE-Chennai,
During which i learned a lot about
tractors their usage, evolution of
styling, etc.

To Identify the Identity of
TAFE/MF Tractors and to decode
the elements responsible for the
Identity. To study the evolution of
TAFE/MF styling and to compare
with that of the competitors

For benchmarking, the identity

Gesture based gaming is one of the hot cake technologies
which is being liked by kids and youth.

GAM’R carries this gesture based gaming further more
forward by taking the gaming zone directly on to the wrist.

GAM’R is a hand mounted video gaming device which can be
operated based on gestures and a track ball navigation button

CONCEPT
is done by a trackball navigation button
and the game controls are purely handled
by the hand gestures whose motion will
be sensored by the GAM’R

The tip of the GAM’R is a flexible one
which helps it fit to hands of
teenagers(various sizes)

This is a point focus paper holder which
can hold paper in non horizontal positions.
This has been designed to aid computer
operating users who replicate the information
on a single paper or set of papers on to the
computer. It also hepls in concentrating at a
single point

This Design uses two strings which are made
up of material with high spring constant. These
strings are interlocked in such a way that they
push against each other and create a tension
between them.

This mechanism derives inspiration from a
human hand which can hold paper in a non
horozontal position with minimum surface
contact.

A telscopic tube with a pointer is placed to
point at a particular word on the paper.

The paper holder has been improved
aesthetically with its inspiration derived from a
bee/fly. The RED FLY is functionally the same
and is superior in terms of the aesthetics in
comparision to its predecessor.

GEAL is a vegetable peeler designed for
usage in Indian household kitchen. It is
mainly targetted at peeling complicated
ginger easily and safely. Inspirations for
this design are a spoon and thumb fing-
ure with which people generally peel
ginger.

After a lot of strong field research and internet research, the present condition of penetration of
internet in rural India is analysed and various factors which are restricting faster internet
penetration are studied and then many possible ways to penetrate internet quickly into rural India
are iterated and conceptualized. This gave rise to the concept of Public Service Machine.

CACFLO is a stick to
hanger transformable
product. It appears to be
a simple stainless steel
pipe and when the petals
of it gets opened, it can
be used to hang different
accessories. The petals
are placed in a spiral
form. To open the petals,
one has to just push the
lower half of the petal by
pressing it with thumb
fingure.

With slight modification in
design, it can be used
both as an indoor and
out door product. CACFLO
provides a flexibility to the
user to use it in different
ways to improve both
functionality and
aesthetics.

adds aesthetics to the surrounding alond with it primary aim of functionality.

This rendering shows the mechanism of
nylon cork present inside the hollow tube
of the hanger which is responsible for the
transformations of the petals.
The rendering also ahows the petal in three
different positions during the transformation

FORM
EXPLORATION

This is the work done in
Expression exercise which
is a part of form exercises.
In this the expression
related to different chess
coins is dipicted and
transformed into a visual
form.

I have used the
combination of wood and
aluminium wire to Visually
show the expression
related to each chess coin.
In the image - from left to
right - Pawn, Knight, King,
Queen, Rook and Bishop.

FORM EXERCISE is a thought provoker which needs a lot of understanding
of the context to give life to a new form. I have taken the characters of the
FORM EXERCISE
