3. I. Summary
The Its All An Act 2, Inc., is a non-profit organization that has been providing arts through
education programs for Alabama schools, community centers, boys and girls clubs,
youth organization, churches and community organizations since 2003. Our organization
was incorporated in Mobile, Alabama.
We believe in the power of art to transform lives of young people. We believe the
benefits of the musical and theatrical arts disciplines provide; self esteem, positive group
relationships, aversions to relational aggression and lack of exposure to the educational
benefits of the arts.
We believe in the principle that the “mother is the first teacher” concept and make
every effort to integrate the family into the arts program. We believe the residual effect
of parental and guardian involvement helps to validate the purpose of the arts program.
We also believe the rewards are multiplied by encouraging unity and oneness in families.
Every effort is made to keep down cost of productions. Staff members of Its All An Act 2,
Inc., are highly skilled in the areas of Office Administration, Journalism, Graphic Artistry,
Photography, Musicianship, Experienced Script Writers, Youth Community Activist & Youth
Mentors, Ex Law Enforcement Officers, Singers, Dancers, Make-Up Artists and
Seamstresses. Having such skilled personnel on board eliminates the need to seek outside
companies for: advertising, marketing, invitations, flyers, costumes, stage sets, etc. All
scripts are written by staff writers, all music soundtracks are produced by staff musicians,
this eliminates the need to pay royalties on the work of other artist. Its All An Act 2, Inc.,
creates and tailors fresh scripts that are relevant in subject to both the actors and the
local audience building community pride and notoriety by presenting theatrical
productions based upon the history of the community.
We are funded through theater earmarked grant funds of the inviting organization. We
work within the budget of the earmarked funds. We are a non-profit organization
currently without 501c3 status. We do however have sponsoring 501c3 organizations of
good standing who will receive and administer the funds on our behalf.

4. II. Introduction
It’s All An Act 2, Inc, was organized in 2003 and incorporated in Baldwin County,
Alabama.
The mission of Its All An Act 2, Inc., is to promote self esteem through accomplishment
and empowerment through individual and group presentation. We strive to educate
through the discipline of theatrical arts and increase awareness of environmental
sustainability, global history and cultural awareness which produces respect for mankind
and the environment. We support offering lifelong learning opportunities and support the
showcasing of student talent and abilities providing opportunities for theater arts,
creative writing, and music as a career profession.
Our uniqueness is that we create scripts that deal with the issues of today’s youth. Peer
pressure, relational aggression, drugs, bullying, parental or support guardian absence,
sexual promiscuity, unplanned pregnancies, drug addicted caregivers, high school drop-
out and truancy, juvenile delinquency, HIV/AIDS, alcohol addicted caregivers, smoking
and gang initiation and turf wars and incarcerated caregivers. This allows young people
an opportunity to solve conflicts and make sound decisions in a creative atmosphere
from the safety of the stage. This is translated into sharpened judgments on the outcome
of their own lives.

5. III. Needs/Problems
In Urban and Inner-city areas all across the United States, there is an increasing void of
arts programs available due to severe budget cuts of the nation’s arts programs. Its all An
Act 2 helps to close those voids and serves as a bridge from the youth to society. When
arts programs are instituted and young people are offered an alternative to social ills,
healthy communities are created, crime, drugs, unplanned pregnancies and school
drop out rates are lowered.
IV. Goals/Objectives
The future of arts-based conflict intervention and delinquency prevention programs is
promising. Through continued investment in youth based arts programs weaknesses can
be corrected. We as the mentor, teacher are better able to meet the growing needs of
youth and communities.
We endeavor to produce pertinent arts programs in the future to benefit families and
communities and others who are struggling with new ways to combat the problem of
juvenile social adjustments. We will constantly strive to providing youth with new skills,
giving them the opportunities to use these skills, and offering them positive feedback and
recognition for their hard work can potentially lead to healthier attitudes and positive
behaviors.
V. Procedures/Scope of Work
Its All An Act trains its actors through no script, non competitive methodology. When the
competition mode is removed from performing arts, the students are free to help each
other with the stigma of “not being good enough” is removed from the equation. The
young people are able to form non threatening friendships. This method fosters an
oneness among the actors and creates an amicable “family environment.” A basic
“script” is used at the onset of rehearsals and actors are gently weaned from the script
and encouraged to use their own emotions to promote believability from the
presentation. Students are also encouraged to name their characters and must submit a
2 page summary of their character that must be reflected in their portrayal. These
summaries offer 75% of the final outcome of the play, for it is in these pages that the
Director finds the “heartbeat” of the production. The audition process is merely and
identifier of the skills and ability of the cast. Actors, singers, dancers, musicians, stage
personnel, wardrobe, make-up, lighting and productions assistants are all identified
through the first audition phase. Thus everyone is the cast is slated to do what they either
elect to do or can do best.

VII. Budget
Its All An Act 2, Inc., works within the earmarked budge or grant received by the inviting
organization for all phases from start to finish. Our staff can make costumes, provide
stage make-up, create music & soundtracks, playbills, promotional flyers, media
announcements, rehearsal announcements, opening night catering for 100, musicians
for bandstand. We can work with any budget and tailor each production to the budget.

The production is part of the Youth Enrichment Summer Program at Truevine Baptist
Church. It is being made possible, in part, by a grant from the American Red Cross to help
children work through the lingering effects of Katrina.
Through its Hurricane Recovery Program, the American Red Cross has sent more than
15,000 young adults to summer camps throughout the Gulf Coast Region. The camps

11. allow participants to experience therapeutic and enrichment activities during the summer
months.
quot;As adults, just watching the news reports and reading the newspapers, it was frightening
enough for us,quot; Cameron says. quot;You can imagine how a child might internalize all of that
pain and anger and concern and worry.quot;
Nine-year-old Elizabeth Carey of Prichard, Ala., who lends her amazing singing voice to
the show, understands the emotional roller coaster that many children rode during and
after Katrina.
quot;In the beginning, it was an ordinary day,quot; she says. quot;But when Katrina hit, there was the
Red Cross and everyone trying to help people who were suffering and things. And when
(Katrina) went through, everyone was happy because it was gone and it wouldn't come
back again.quot;

Singer, Songwriter Diane Cameron returns for the 2008 Gospel & Racines Festival in the
Republic of Benin, West Africa on July 27th. This will be the 3rd appearance for this
Chicago native. She will once again reach out to Benin’s abundance of talented
musicians for accompaniment during her appearance. Diane is affectionately called
the “Daughter of Diaspora” because her writing and singing passion is mostly set to
African themes and history. In 2005 she was nominated by the KORA AWARDS for her
original song “Come Back Home To Africa” from “The Reconciliation” CD.
Ms. Cameron will debut her new CD “Diaspora Child” at the festival. “I look forward to
once again collaborating with my Beninese musical family, Christi VI, Okine, Mathias
Dangbe and the heavenly vocals of K-Sim and others. Music is spiritual,” she continues,
“it permeates the soul and feeds the spirit. As musical artist, we must sing songs that
uplift the nations. In the sometimes chaotic world we live in, music can be a soothing
balm. I am thankful to God that he allows me to be a conduit to his healing essence. It
unites us all, superseding religion, race and locality.”
While in Benin, she will visit orphanages and schools demonstrating her “Diaspora’s
Child” youth cultural programs created out of her love for the young people of Benin.
Ms. Cameron has also been invited by Community Connections Organization in Togo
and plans to visit schools in Togo and Ghana as well. As Executive Director of the

13. Alabama Benin Forum her attendance in Benin will also focus on the economic
exchange between the business community of both the State of Alabama and the
Republic of Benin.

Diane Cameron is an International vocalist who has appeared in Tokyo, Paris, West
Africa, South Africa, Canada and all over the United States. In July 2008, Ms. Cameron
was invited by the Government of the Republic of Benin, West Africa as the USA Artist
in Residence to Benin for the third time. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she currently
has made her home on the Eastern Shore in Alabama. Diane has played at some of the
Eastern Shore’s finest establishments such as in San Destin, Florida at the San Destin
Resort and Conference Center, Florabama as well as numerous private engagements and
weddings. She also performed for the 2002 and 2003 Alabama Gulf Coast Chamber of
Commerce National Shrimp Festival.
Other Alabama Eastern Shore appearances include Kiva Dunes, Beach Club, Guy's
Gumbo, Oleander Resort, Marriott Grand Hotel, Legions Club, Theater 98 and
more...Diane has produced several youth theatrical productions, was a guest on channel
44 Mobile's quot;Cover Storiesquot; hosted by Nona Simmons.
As an actress, Ms. Cameron has appeared on the stage in Tokyo, Chicago, Atlanta,
Toronto, Hilton Head Island, SC, Mobile and West Africa. Her role of Bernice in August
Wilson's quot;THE PIANO LESSONquot;, earned a best actress nomination as actress of the year
in Jacksonville, Florida.
Diane has written several plays, published an environmental skit for the City of Mobile's
quot;Keep Mobile Beautifulquot; organization and is writing a children's book quot;Fred & Felixquot; and
an environmental play for children. Upcoming appearances include Sweet Auburn
Heritage Festival/Atlanta and World Music Festival in Phoenix.
Diane was selected U.S.A. Artist in Residence to the Republic of Benin, West Africa She
was subsequently invited to Durban and Johannesburg in 2005 as a result of being
nominated by the International Music Organization KORA. Her self authored CD quot;The
Reconciliationquot; was in competition with musical works from Mariah Carey, Will Smith,
50 Cents and Canada's Olivier.
The State of Alabama USA passed two Resolutions signed by the Honorable Bob Riley,
Governor of recognizing Ms. Cameron’s theatrical and musical work with children.
Her original musical “WATER – WHEN KATRINA CAME” was written prior to
working with the 2007 PFC Howard Johnson II Summer Enrichment Camp.
Nevertheless, once Ms. Cameron came on board July 2007 as the Camp Theater Director,
her play became a vehicle helping victims cope with the loss and displacement from the
hurricane’s aftermath. The play served as a perfect pilot for the camp as a support
mechanism for the 200 + campers enrolled in the 5-week program at Truevine Baptist
Church in Mobile. The camp was made possible by the American Red Cross National to
provide cultural, educational, and emotional assistance to those young people who have

DRAMA PROGRAMS
DRAMA INTERVENTIONS is the art of integrating theater, music, literary works,
dance and visual art for the purpose of promoting reconciliation and development in
personal conflict resolution, promoting awareness of cultural diversity through education
while fostering a team atmosphere amongst the participants. Drama Interventions is
committed to fostering a healthy planet through its project Green Earth Theater. Under
this ecological banner the play “TRASH TAWKIN” was created. Trash Tawkin is the
anchor story is a series designed to raise awareness for the need to be good stewards of
the earth through recycling and civic beautification. The roles of actor, singer, dancer,
writer, make-up artist, wardrobe persons, set designers and stage assistants provides a
positive outlet for youthful energies and promotes a team environment between the
production team, the cast, community and the environment. Trash Tawkin is designed to
be a demonstration model for schools and youth outreach programs as an educational &
entertainment tool
DRAMA INTERVENTIONS is a division of ITS ALL AN ACT 2, INC., a non-profit
organization domiciled in Mobile, Alabama. This organization has worked with high
schools, middle schools, boys and girls clubs, elementary schools, youth groups, created
an environmental awareness play for the City of Mobile's - Keep Mobile Beautiful
Organization, and formed a summer theater workshop for the City of Daphne and in 2005
Ms. Cameron traveled to the Republic of Benin, West Africa to write, direct and produce
a musical theatrical production for the International Christian School of Benin entitled
“WILL I EVER SEE AFRICA AGAIN?”. In December 2006, Ms. Cameron was invited
along with a delegation from Africa to share her experience in Africa with children at the
Daufuskie Island Elementary School, Daufuskie Island, South Carolina. In 2007
DRAMA INTERVENTIONS was contracted by the Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund to
hold a 4 week seminar and script a play for 200 campers dealing the emotional aftermath
of killer storm Katrina. DRAMA INTERVENTIONS is an interactive theatre
organization without walls. We go wherever the occasion necessitates, nationally,
internationally, next door or across town.
