• When BATS members graduate, their
projects graduate with them
• We lose the ability to
continue to implement those
beneficial theses, dissertations, OBM and
Autism projects
The Second Problem
• The supervisors at WoodsEdge make sure
the tutors are on task, but…
• Who is ensuring the on task behavior of the
supervisors?
Solution: Maintenance & Supervision
System
• Create an online database to store project
documentation from
each BATS member
• Design an intervention
to improve and maintain the skills of our
supervisors at WoodsEdge
Responsibilities as a First Year
• Work closely with PPMS for project
documents
• Act as a resource for supervisors and case
coordinators
• Continue to improve and expand
this new system
• Become the connoisseur of BATS
projects
Tasks During Your First Year
• Complete approximately 4 hours worth of
tasks per week
– Update project materials on the MSS database
– Ensure proper functioning of the Red Dot
Database and train your cohort
– Ensure behavior profiles are updated each
semester
– Collect weekly supervisor data at WoodsEdge
– Update MSS manual
You eventually will…
• Be responsible for supervisor and case
coordinator training for the new cohort
• Present supervisor data to supervisors at
WoodsEdge
• Track whistle blow data to present to
classroom teachers at WoodsEdge
Possibilities
• One year old system with lots of room to
grow!

• Any maintenance issues within BATS

• Improvements to current supervisor and case
coordinator training
In Summary
• MSS is a diverse system with many different
responsibilities
• Being a manager in this system will allow you
to gain extra experience in a supervisory role
and help improve the skills of our supervisors
• These skills will follow
you and other BATS
members on to their
future careers
