Nimbuzz is a new-generation mobile VoIP operator, designed for the online age.
The multi award-winning Nimbuzz application enables people to enjoy free

4. Company background
The brainchild of Dutch serial entrepreneur & CEO, Evert Jaap Lugt, and in
development for more than two years, Nimbuzz officially launched in May 2008.
Established in Rotterdam, with offices in San Francisco, London, Argentina, Brazil &
India, Nimbuzz employs more than 100 people.
Nimbuzz has received multi million dollar VC and strategic funding in two rounds,
from Mangrove Capital Partners (Skype), Naspers/MIH (Tencent, Mail.ru, Gadu-
Gadu, Mxit, Mweb, Sanook, Tradus) and Holtzbrinck Ventures (Kyte, StudiVZ).
