Kids diets are getting worse. more and more kids are eating fast food as their meals instead of a home cooked meal because fast food is so available . A McDonalds salad may sound healthy to some but a premium bacon ranch salad with grilled chicken with dressing has 430 calories 24g of fat and 1540mg of sodium. Kids aren’t getting enough exercise to use up all of the calories they intake, for some gym class is the only form of exercise they get and gym classes are being cut down.
In today’s society children are becoming less active and more sedentary. They most likely will go home after school and grab an unhealthy snack such as chips, candy, or other food that have a lot of unhealthy stuff such as high fructose corn syrup then either watch TV or play videogames, sometimes for 7 or 8 hours at a time. Some companies such as Wii have come out with Wii fit which promotes exercise and moving around.
