1.
2. Vertebrates animals have got a spinal column or a
internal skeleton. They have three main part: the head,
trunk and extremities.Their nervous system and sense
organs are very well- developed
3. Groups of vertebrates
We can classify vertebrates into five groups: fish ,
amphibians , birds, mammals, reptiles
4. Fish
Fish have got a long body that is covered with scales.
They breathe with gills and they use their fins to
swim.
Almost all fish are oviparous. The females produce
eggs and lay them in the water. Most fish are also some
herbivorous and omnivorous. All fish have got a
skeleton, but there are two difference types.Bony fish
and cartilaginous fish.
5. Amphibians
When they are young they have gills to breathe
underwater.
When they are adult they have got lungs to breathe
air, but they can absorb oxygen through their skin.
Cuatenous respiration.
They are oviparous animals.
Most of them are carnivores. They eat insects,
crustaceans, sanils, worms and small fish.
6. The two main groups of
amphibians
Frogs and toads
Salamanders and newts
7. Reptiles
They have got hard scales on their bodies. They
breathe by lungs.
Reptiles are oviparous.
Many are carnivores and others are herbivores.
They main groups are: lizards, snakes, turtles
and crocodliles.
9. Birds
Birds have got feathers on their body, and also
two legs and two wings.
They breath by lungs, they are oviparous and
they have got aerodynamic bodies.
They can be herbivorous, granivorous,
insectivorous, carnivorous or omnivorous.
10. Mammals
They usually got some hair on their bodies. All of
them have lungs to breathe air. Female have got
mmary glands to produce milk to feed their
young.
They can be carnivores, herbivores,
insectivorous or omnivorous.
