11. The XVI Congress of IUPPS will be held jointly with the
XVI Congress of the Brazilian Archeology Society (SAB).
SAB brings together professionals, students and people
interested in Archeology in Brazil, but also several
countries in Latin America. Currently over 1,000
members, SAB holds scientific meetings every 2 years.
The partnership of a joint event aims to expand the lines
of scientific discussion. Covering a wider audience, the
event will allow new opportunities for dialogue and
exchange of knowledge.

12. With the recent partnership between both Congresses of IUPPS and
SAB, is being finalized the organization of a joint structure, that at
the same time preserves the characteristics of each Congress, but
in particular, seek to leverage their points of synergy.
There are five main themes brought by IUPPS and five themes
brought by SAB. The participants will make their entries in the
themes according to their subjects and interests.
The formation of sessions, symposiums and round tables that bring
together professionals from different backgrounds will be strongly
stimulated, seeking to expand the scientific results of the event.
