Re: Recommendation of Ms. Dorian Roberts
To Whom It May Concern:
It is my pleasure to write this letter of recommendation on behalf of Ms. Dorian Roberts. I have
known Ms. Roberts the past year as a visiting consultant in her school.
Ms. Roberts is a kind, caring, energetic and enthusiastic administrator who has an outstanding
work ethic. Her people skills are very refined and she demonstrates an excellent knowledge of
the curriculum. Ms. Roberts utilizes a variety of resources to ensure student success. She
continually examines school wide data to determine student mastery of the subject material. I am
so impressed with the fact that she knows the students in her building and has a gifted level of
communication with both students and teachers.
Ms. Roberts enjoys a most positive rapport with her faculty, parents, and students. Simply stated,
they all adore her. Ms. Roberts enthusiasm for student engagement and success is contagious and
she has the unique ability to make the students feel important and successful. With each teacher at
the Hope of Detroit, she clearly states her expectations for the children, and is fair, firm and
consistent in her interactions with both staff and students. Dorian encourages the teachers to
incorporate higher level questions in their lessons. In addition, she is helping the staff to become
adept with differentiating the instruction, literacy, and incorporating flexible grouping to meet the
wide range of student abilities.
I find Ms. Roberts to be highly introspective as she continually evaluates her effectiveness in her
leadership role and looks for ways in which to improve her own skills. The staff at the school
highly respects Ms. Roberts and all she offers as their educational leader.
In essence, Dorian Roberts is an outstanding administrator with a depth of knowledge rarely seen
in schools today. She has a strong desire to excel and has all the attributes that one looks for in
blue chip administrator. With her dedication, enthusiasm and willingness to continue to be on the
cutting edge of student achievement and growth, I feel that Ms. Roberts will be an asset to any
school.
I travel internationally and nationally working in a variety of schools and without hesitation I give
Ms. Dorian Roberts my highest recommendation for a position of school administrator.
